We all wish we could go back in time. If I could go back in time I would visit myself as a high school senior. I would tell myself, you should take the time and rearrange your attitude so that it reflects the mind set of an eager student. If I would have had a better attitude towards learning, my college career would be much easier. Other than this one piece of advice I would regret nothing else. Life is too short to hold regrets; instead life is about learning from your past mistakes and making yourself a better future.

As a high school senior, I would try and take as many Duel Enrollment (D.E) courses as I could. Education is so important these days almost any job requires a degree. With all the courses I need for the medical field, I would need to get as much help as I can from scholarships, and what ever else I can do to get the money to help me toward my goal. With the D.E program I could take college cources at a high school level and recieve both college and high school credit. I also would advise any person who was in high school not to get involved in drinking and drug abuse. So many people mess up there education because of not thinking and getting involved in the wrong things. I would also try and make all A's and B's to help get me into a good college that will help me succeed. Making good grades, staying out of drugs and alcohol, and do your best to be the best is the advise I would give myself as a high school senior.

I would of never went away to a university for a year and stayed at the community college due to student loans I had to take out. I don't regret going away, it was a good experience, however, future wise, it probably wasn't the best financial move I have made.

If I could go back in time, I would make myself have a better studying discipline. When I was in high school, I used to do all the work and get good grades, but at the same time, I was very laid back. I did not prepare myself well enough before going to college. Now, I wish that I would have been more responsible, that way I would not be going through much trouble trying to have studying habits. I would not have procrastinated so much on applying to colleges and universities. I know that when we are young we like to have fun, but it is better to have fun after we see the results of our efforts. I also would have asked for help whenever I did not understood something, instead of being too proud to ask. Now I realize all the resources, such as scholarships, grants, financial aid at the college, etc., that were available to me, and I did not make use of them, and I was rushing throught everything at the last minute. If I could go back in time, I would make a lot of changes before making this major transition in my life.

Katie im proud of you for trying so hard and receiving as many schollarships as you did. when you get to college make sure to try your hardest in classes. There is no need to procrastinate or slck of, you need those grades.

I would advise myself to take certain classes that I'm not familiar with such as physics and statistics. I'd also advise myself to start early by dual enrolling, because a lot of these classes were extremely easy, and I could have been accepted into the Nursing program sooner had I finished the pre-requisites sooner.

First, I would tell myself that college life is not only filled with parties and typically a laid-back lifestyle but it can be very stressful. Secondly, I would tell myself unlike high school where classes will be taken during the day and filled with all of my friends, and a lifestyle with no other worries besides an occasional essay or lab, College life is totally different. Furthermore, I would tell myself that Adapting to the reality of college is not an easy task but with faith and perseverance I will make it through especially when cutting class and taking make-up tests is no longer an option as it might have been in my past high school experiences. Finally, I must adapt quickly with this large student age diversity, especially some students sometimes can be old enough to be my parents.

College life, and life in general is like a board game. Once you pick up the dice and roll it, your piece is more into the game because it left the start. Every day is a chapter in learning for everyone, but it seems that everyone learns more once they enter the real world, of college. High school is indeed completely different then college, because of the situations we would be place it. In high school we were surrounded by drama and pressure. As college , it is still the same but less pressure. If I could go back into time, and give any advice to myself, I would say to focus more on my school work and less time with friends. In life friends come and go, but education is always there in your mind. Education is like a rare plant, it cost alot of time searching for it, and learning about it, and not most people would want to search for it, but the results in the end is that you know more about that particular rare plant than most people would have known about it. And College for me, is the last step before entering the real world.
