Well, Im from out of state so the decission to go 7 hours away didn't come easily. I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, which again is about 7 hours away from IU. I actually compared business schools of each and every school that I got into and found that IU had a great business school. Next, I made visits to the schools that I was deciding between, which included PSU, Ohio state, U Mass, and IU. Following my visits I realized that IU had an amazing campus that reminded me of a golf course. After orientation and my first visit I knew IU was the school for me.
I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to major in, so going to a big school gave me a lot of options. When I visited IU-Bloomington, I just fell in love with the campus, and it felt right. The way the tour-guide described the university culture really resonated with me, and I could see myself spending my college years here.
It is a gorgeous campus alive with so much energy! The academics are challenging and job placement is much easier with a degree from a challenging school.
It is the only school in the country to offer an Arts Management program at the undergraduate level! Also, the campus is beautiful, the sports are amazing, and the arts community is huge!
I visited IU and fell in love with the school. The campus was beautiful even in the middle of January, the professors were friendly, and the academic programs were some of the best. It was close enough to home, but still fairly far away. It was the perfect blend of everything I wanted.
