It is mostly a comuter campus. The size is large and there are a lot of students, but there is not a "4 year college experence" feel here, because the majority of students are to seperated from the school.

Seeing that i come from Gary,Indiana its very different being around a variety of different people. Different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and colors. It has lots of programs for students like me whom are unaware of what to expect coming into college. I was a first generation student so it was helpful.

Jordan

The one thing I like about it is the smaller class sizes compared to other bigger schools. It feels like you actually get to know your professors and fellow classmates which I believe helps in the learning process and transition from high school into college. They also have a really neat yoga club that meets twice a week.

IPFW is unique because one that attends this university can either graduate with a degree from Indiana University or Purdue University depending upon their major. This is especially important if one wants an IU degree or Purdue degree specifically but cannot afford those schools because IPFW enables the student to do so at a cheaper rate. The student population mostly consists of commuter students. All dorms are apartment style. The student has their own bedroom, shares a bathroom with one other person, and shares a kitchen, dining, and living space with three people. Meal plans are not offered.

I am going to attend Harrison College and it is great because I can take a lot of classes online and still be at home with my disabled husband.

I never really planned on attending the school I am at now, I had always planned on starting at a four-year school, but when i didn't get teh scholarships i needed from the schools i got into I had to settle for a community college. Though I was pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoy it here.

I think our school mascot, the Mastodon is very unique to my school. I also think it's unique that there are so many programs available for such an average sized school.

Cassandra

A lot of school spirit, everyone is proud to be a Mastadon

Tony

It's close to my home, which means I didn't have to worry about paying for room or board. I was then able to focus on just paying for classes and books.

Chelsea

Nothing.

Joseph

Nothing is really unique. My campus is just close to home. The only thing that may be considered unique is the fact that its a D1 school, yet has no football team!(the sport I wanted to play in college)
