I don't think there's a single type of person who shouldn't attend this college. Maybe a shut in, or a combination shut in/LGBT/Bigfoot Monster/Investment Banker/President Obama. If you were all of those, and you attended IPFW, things might get "hairy" for you. That's a bigfoot joke.
A person who does not want to work hard for their education and goals in life. Nothing will be handed to you at this school, you must earn it.
Some one that does not want to learn. All the professors here help the students as much as they possibly can. They all make themselves available to help the students in any way they can. But they do not give any assistance to someone that does not take responsibility for their own studies. If you are unwilling to give the effort than IPFW is not for you because it will take the extra work to pass here.
I would never want to "discourage" anyone from attending college. It was one of the best decisions of my life! I guess if I had to answer this question, I would have to say... "the kind of person that sould not attend IPFW is a non-exisistent one!"
Anyone who wants an education should attend this school. There is no one type of person. However, if you have children this is the best 4-year univesity for you.
A person who is unwilling to put forth the neccessary effort and dedication needed to meet the challenges presented by the higher eschelons of collegiate education shouldn't attend this school where enduring, steadfast, and earnest labor is highly valued. Also, those who have problems relating well with others should also reconsider attending this school which comes complete with an extremely amiable atmosphere of friendship and cooperation.
people that shouldnt attend school are people that dont care for their own future. because college is imporntant to everyone that wants to study and be who ever they want to be.
If you don't care to do your homework or participate in class, you will not gain what you need to at this school. So those who aren't serious about their grades should not attend.
There isn't really a "type" of person that should or should not go to IPFW. It is a very open-minded campus, but I get the feeling that it is a bit more liberal than it is conservative. Perhaps someone should think about that when applying, but overall, it's a great university.
A person who just wants to be lazy and not put the effort into doing schoolwork and studying should not be interested in this school. There are too many students who want to succeed and will do anything to succeed who do go to IPFW. IPFW is strict that way. If you're not serious about college, then don't bother filling out an application.
Those who should not attend this school are those who wish to live on a big campus or attend a university with a lot of parties on campus. While IPFW has some social activities it is mostly a commuter college.
Those that decide that they aren't going to do the work.
Anyone whom is easily distracted and not self-motivated should stay far away from this school as they will most certainly fail. Furthermore, anyone whom thrives in small class size situations should not consider this university as the student will not obtain the support of the faculty.
Someone looking for the full college experience: fraternities, sororities, sports, clubs, life-time friends, etc. should not attend this school. The main focus is on academics.
People who want the traditional campus experience. This is a community campus and is expanding rapidly but not a traditional school.
In my opinion, someone that wants to be near a big city, or have the typical college life should not go here. This is more of a commuter college that is turning into a more dorm-orriented college.
If you are a serious but down to earth person who is ready to live outside of the box just a little , then this school is definately for you.
Anyone who expects to learn alot from their professors. Many are just staffed and not qualified. Many have too many political opionions that are expressed instead of actually teaching. If you are conservative just know that this college is not accepting of that (but then again which are?)
i dont think there is a type that shouldnt, there are many diff. types here and no one seems to be singled out.
one that doesn't want to go to college....
I think anybody could attend this school, as long as they are focused.
everyone would fit in at IPFW
