I consider the best thing about IPFW to be the housing. I feel like it's a great way for a student who just got out of high school to experience the real world. Instead of dorm rooms they use apartments and they aren't expensive at all. I also really like how the campus is big, but easy to navigate.
Our music department is top notch. wehave some of the best teachers and a beautiful facility.
The amount of classes available. IPFW offers a variety of times to take classes that fits everyone's schedule. Being a single mom and looking for a part time job this makes it easier for me to go to college.
The smaller class sizes. It's nice not having a lot of people in a lecture so you are more connected to the classroom.
The teachers
The best thing is that thier is plenty of places to go and study. Some are more quiter than other but you can always find some place to go.
The best thing about IPFW is the size. It is a large school, but there is teacher-student interaction still. I can contact any of my professors and talk to them easily. I have friends that have professors that don't even know them. I also have classes that are small enough that I can interact with most of the class. In 3 of my 4 classes last semester, I was on a first name basis with every teacher and student. It really helps the transaction from high school to college when it's that easy to make new friends.
Having several programs for all students so all can become better within thier own career choices
I consider many things great about my school, however, the best thing about my school is that they offer tons and tons of help for classes. They have tutoring and that is awesome because we are alound 2 hours a week for each class for FREE!
Mostly small classes. More personal and accessable to the professors.
The school lets everyone be their own individual, which helps let students do things in their own way. Students are able to be more open with each other and the teachers. Everyone seems happy at one time or another, and it isn't hard to make new friends
The best thing about IPFW is the diversity. Fort Wayne, IN is one of the most diverse cities in the Midwest, and by seeking a diverse faculty and student body, the attendants will benefit in a plethora of ways. For example, as a business student, the exposure to different cultures and views will help me create a less ethnocentric worldview, thus allowing me to be more successful in commerce. The experiences and teachings offered by professors from different countries also create valuable in-class learning, which can be applied to out of class scenarios.
caring professors, small class size, recognized degree
The school has great class sizes as far as the number of students in each class is concerned.
The professors that actually care about what they say and do in order to help students acheive their goals. They are a division one sports school which means nothing to me but I guess thats a large money maker and a big deal to some.
I would have to say the diversity. There are so many different kinds of cultures and languages.
Offering classes in the evenings for students with jobs
It is a nice size school as well as city, so there is much to do on down time if you decide to go off campus.
The availablilty of the Professors
Price per class is very good compared to other places I could have went.
