Five month update: I have found my automotive instructors to be extremely knowledgeable about the field and the industry. So far I've had Mr Gardener once a week in CCR, Mr Woerth for 101, and Mr McBride for 103. Each demonstrated not only knowledge, but a willingness to answer questions, and each seemed genuinely invested in student success. 101 With Corey Woerth was the basics with a side of finer automotive detail and a lot of physics, all of which he knew very well. He had had a fun demeanor while teaching it. Engines class with Ian McBride is watching a math wizard remember measurements for 12 engines at the same time I'm genuinely impressed. While he teaches you how to build engines for street and racing. Tammy Whitted sends us weekly emails about job postings. Has last/current week's jobs physically posted outside her office too.

Absolute worst school to go in colorado state itself. Do not go they dont care about you at all. I recently tried talking to the dean and director of education but they blew me off and didnt care at all.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Considering when I was a senoir in high school, college was the last thing on my mind. I would be trying to convince myself how important it is to go to college. I would tell myself; "you may think you are old now that you are 18 but you are very young and this is a great time to set up your future by going to college. Taking the step now to get a degree is going to make your adult life much easier. Just because you choose to go to school now doesn't mean you are deciding what to do for the rest of your life. Your degree will give you the ability to earn more money, even in a field unrelated to your degree. College will train your brain how to function and succeed in the adult world. I know you want to play in a band for a living but you can be in a band and school at the same. You will be giving yourself two chances for success! On top of that it is a great way to go live somewhere new and exciting and meet new people!
