I really enjoyed the look and feel of the campus. There are two libraries. One is maroon and the other one is more of like a faint cyan so complimentary in color schemes. I think what stands out is how available the professors are. They always have excellent advice and they think about the things that you are interested in. I agree with the reviewers above. The students are nice and polite. I wish they were a bit irreverent or something...
The main reason why I chose Iona College was because of how small the college was, I personally enjoy having a small classrooms it helps you interact more with the professors and students. I am in a sorority and this also helped me get more involved on campus, it also might be helpful if you are far away from home.
Iona College is a fantastic place to be apart of. There are six dorms on campus, East Hall being the only communal one. The people in the school are very friendly and there are lots of events planed. Always get involved because there are many activities that are hosted where you can make friendships.
I like the college's staff and professors. They are all so interesting and motivate us to do our best as students. Overall I think the people make the college.

As of today November 13, 2010, I am unemployed an having a hard time finding a job. The Unemployement Office is sending me back to college to get my degree in Business Administration and I need more help to fund my education. Its hard finding a job I go out each and every day searching for one. With just an Associated Degree In Accounting which was back in 1981 everything have changed and I Believe that once I get my BS in Business Admistration I will be able to get a job with out any problems. Once I get my BS in Business Administration I will be more equipped to be a leader and service in my communities. I believe today, more than ever, education is critical for advancement and professional opportunties. On January 31, 2011 I will be attending Mid-Continent University Advantage as a full time student . In closing I would like to say Thank you, for allowing me to better my self and advancing my career at the same time.
Very taken care of.
My friends are much like me. The most important thing in college is to make a good group of friends
I wish I knew how many people from the boroughs and long island went there
We are right outside New York City. We are a private Catholic College
The best thing about my school is that there are plenty of activities for you to get involved in. You wont ever be bored because there is something for you to do all the time. This is a good thing because you can get more involved and be more known with the school.
The one thing that i i dont really like that much about Iona is that the dorm rooms are to small. Its a great campus and all but if only the rooms and room space could be expanded alitte more. that is why i do not dorm at Iona.. I feel the dorm space is not worth the money without alittle more change
A person that should attend this school is an outgoing person. Someone who loves to explore new things and loves to be involved with different opportunities. Also someone that wants to explore a different environment and get a better feel then what high school was like.
There is a sense of community at Iona . In addition offers many programs that foster spiritual development and cultural awareness.
Some of the teacher teach the textbook
Iona is a medium sized collged. Soits not to small and not too big. You wont feel out of place and its beutiful campus with so many different type of people and personalities so you can always find a place to fit it and learn more by people.
Fun outgoing loves to hang out and have a good time
My overall opinion is that I love this school!! Everything about it fits so well with who I am. The small class sizes allow you to create a relationship with professors and the campus is absolutely beautiful, as almost everything has been recently remodeled. The food is great, both on and off campus, and you can use your meal card for several amazing places right in the area. I love how Iona is situated in a small city, and is extremely close to New York City, without getting too hectic itself. Although these things are great, I would have to say that I love the resources and help that is so readily available to every student here at Iona.
on campus food is really good and there are a million different options and locations. You can also use your meal card at several off-campus eateries right in the area which are all amazing
The professors get to know you on a more personal level than a bigger school. In my favorite class, we are able to talk about and give several different opinions on subject-related material that the teacher presents us with. This relationship of the class makes me look forward to going to class every time. I love how teachers can so passionately speak about their subject matter and pass that enthusiasm on to the class.
The most popular student activities are definitely sports and greek life. Iona has such a wide variety of Division 1 sports offered as well as many intramural sports that are played for fun. The student body is very enthusiastic about the teams, especially basketball, and the spirit is certainly evident. Greek life is also very popular, as there is a good variety of sororities and fraternities. Both of these groups actively host different events for good causes and for fun!
the library! its quiet and has a starbucks
The stereotype of students at my school is that they like to party a lot. Although Iona is definitely a good time, things never get out of hand. Students here are so responsible and should get credit for how much work they complete before catching a break!
