This is the best Community College to start out with because everyone is so helpful. They encourage the students to do their best in everything they do. They want the best for them and want to make sure that they are set mentally and academically in class.

had a great visit at this college and I am definitely going to attend. Brooklyn was our tour guide and she was so great and Mr. Marty Cooper was amazing! I am going to apply for the Indian Delegation so that I may be more familiar with the college and the events as well as be involved with helping others who are new to campus.

Miranda

It is an excellent school. All the classes and professors I took were great. More extra curricular activities would be the biggest project they could work on. They have a few clubs offered at the school. Over all the school is great way to start off your first time college experience.

Itawamba Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Itawamba Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Itawamba Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to go the college immediately upon graduation of high school. There are not any good paying jobs out there without an education. You need to wait on having a family until you are finished with college and have a good career established. I've seen the road ahead of you and it is not a pretty one. You will work hard for little money; you will barely put food on the table for yourself and your children. You will one day become a displaced worker and go to college and have an even harder time making ends meet. I know, unemployment doesn't pay enough to keep anyone alive. So, take this opportunity and go to college now and change your outlook for the future because your future depends on it!

  5. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

This school offers two seperate campuses, one in Fulton, MS and one in Tupelo, MS. Fulton is a nice small town but not far is the Tupelo Campus which offers a larger town and more to do as a student socially. Many students attend both campuses for different classes. ICC is a great school when a large college campus seems to be "to much" it is smaller and easy to manuver and know where you need to be and when. There are many offices and services available to help the student succeed.

  6. What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is the many clubs and organizations that allow you to get involved. Here at ICC, we have everything from Modern Language Clubs, to our recruiting team, Indian Delegation. We have the Baptist Student Union, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Wesley House for religious organizations. Our All-American Band boasts some of the greatest musicians this side of the Mississippi, and our band is bigger than Ole Miss's and Mississippi State's! But these are just a few. There is ALWAYS something to going on!

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The only thing that I don't like about Itawamba Community College is that my classes are on the second floor and there is no restroom. You have to go down two flights of stairs to get to the restroom which is sometimes difficult for me; I have problems with my knees. The only way you can use the elevator is to have a key and the only way to get a key is to have a doctors statement saying that you need one. I think they should have a restroom on each floor.

  11. What is your overall opinion of this school?

Itawamba Community College is an amazing school filled with some amazing people. There are so many different clubs to become involved in. During my freshman year, it was always some type of activity/ festivity going on, so there is never a dull moment. The entire campus itself always remained clean. 12. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I would have known that college is not what people make it out to be. When I was in high school, my friends who had already gone to college always elaborated about the fun and freedom college offered, but they never mentioned what hard work it is. It is not that I mind hard work, because I love striving to achieve my goals and working hard, but it would have been great to go into the experience knowing what was ahead of me instead of experiencing a huge shock once school began.
