I do not feel that anything is very unique about it. I, personally have never attended a school or know anybody that has attended a college where they felt so out of place or felt like they were not learning anything. There is however a lot of school spirit on campus, there is a lot of students who support the football and basketball team. They also have a danceline for the football team, I do not think many colleges have a danceline for a college team anymore or if ever. The danceline is good, and popular for the sorority girls.

Jacksonville State is a great school. It is close to home, and conveinient for me, as a college student that is having to pay for school himself. The academics are very acceptable, especially the education department, my intended field of work.

My school is very diverse. Students from other countries attende Jacksonville State University and attend the same classes as the American students. It is located in a small town so the population is low. The campus is a nice size and in a very nice part of time and the crime is very low. You are able to walk anywhere on campus and it is not a long distance. Grocery stores are right down the street; including restaurants, banks, and movie rental places. The mall is about 15-20 miles away in the next small town but not too far.

Kaila

In Jacksonville, the classes are not that big. While at UA, the classes are in lecture rooms with close to 100 students per class.

Melissa

It has a very strong College of Education program. Graduates from this program are sought after.

My school is unique because of the people here. Even though it is not in a big city , I do enjoy it. The weekends could be better so it would not be just a "suitcase" university, but I pray it will get better. Another reason why I chose this school because it's close to home, has my major, and one of the most inexpensive universities in the nation.

Alyssa

Jacksonville State University is small and family based, so you feel at home here. Other schools tend to be too big and all about one aspect of college life. JSU includes everyone.
