Jacksonville State University expects a high caliber work ethic. As a STEP student, communication and leadership are expected to be demonstrated in new found writing skills of each nursing student. The students must display the ability to critically think as well as contribute significantly to the learning of others. Determination and a strong desire to complete our formal nursing education is a plus. Every assignment must be approached with preparedness and enthusiam about the process of learning. Most importantly, students need to possess the desire and willingness to complete their education so they can continue to help others.

Before I came to this school, I wish I would have known exactly how expensive it would be. I came straight from a community college and did not anticipate the cost to go as high as it did. I definitely would have applied for more scholarships. I also, would try to meet other students that have class with me to carpool. Driving an hour to and from school everyday gets rather expensive. I would have just anticipated the cost of everything and tried to make arrangements.
