The best think about JBU is that the community aspect that admissions will talk about really does exist. When you need someone to talk to or take you to run some errands or just hangout with, there is always someone to help you out.
It is a very close community. Also a very safe environment and while there I always feel safe. There is no alcohol, drugs, or other risky behavior on campus and that makes me feel like I belong.
Our school strives for excellence in academics and in life. Our motto "Head, Heart, and Hand" displays the importance of growing in every aspect of life.
Works with older students coming back to complete their degree.
The amount of hands on experience you receive prior to completing your internship.
I believe the best thing about JBU is community feeling there is at the school. The school isn't small so you know most everyone and its a great feeling to see people you know all the time.
The diversity, including internationals and missionary kids, within our school is very unique. They make up about 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of our population, and add a special culture to our campus. It allows the students to expand their knowledge and experience other countries. Our study abroad programs further our learning about the world. As a missionary kid, I was able to relate with many of the students, and adjusted well to the school with the help of faculty/staff. By building relationships with students of various cultures and attending school-sponsored events, I have gained a greater apprecation for the world.
The best thing about John Brown University is how friendly and kind everyone on campus is. The teachers, the staff, the students, the Chapel speakers, everyone. It is a great place to go and they make it very easy for everyone to fit right in. As a freshman, i was worried i wouldnt be able to find good friends or have a good time in class with the professors and other students, but my experiance has been the complete opposite. JBU is a great university and i am proud to go there.
