Joliet Junior College is a highly respected community college. It was founded in 1901, which makes it the oldest community college in the nation. Since my school is a junior college, they take almost, if not everyone who applies. However, to be successful there you have to be hardworking, independent, and highly motivated. Many students think junior colleges are easier than universities, but they require just as much time and effort as the big four year universities out there.

I believe that someone who is still undecided about what they want to major in should attend Joliet Junior College. You can get all your general classes out of the way for a lot less money and then once you have decided what you want to do you can begin to look at other schools. Also, if you have decided to go back to school after having children it would be a great school for you.

The kind of person that should attend this school is to me anyone who is looking to advance their career. They should be very determined to achieve their goals. They should also have a positive attitude about their education because if they do not want to be there then it almost feels like the teachers are not doing their job for the ones who do not pay attention even though they really are.

The kind of person who should attend JJC is the type who wants to start off with a flexible schedule. Not only is there flexibility but by starting off at a community college and taking the general classes needed now than at a four-year college students can save a lot of money! At JJC students get a whole new experience and it's the type of experience that'll stay with one individual forever. A community college brings up the GPA and makes it just as easy to transfer to whatever college is in interest.
