To incoming freshmen: The Derb food is AWESOME. Ask anyone who's ever eaten there, it is absolutely the best cafeteria food you will ever get the privilege of experiencing. If possible, try to get into Ford, Haymaker, Moore, or West Hall; these four halls have access to the Derby Dining Center (The Derb). The Derb offers manageable dining hours, delicious meal options, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only inconvenience is that it does not offer dinner on Sunday nights. But, hey! It's always nice to have an excuse to eat out, right?
The dining center at K-State has won awards the past ten years on the quality of food that we have here. I have friends that still live in the residence halls and I beg them every year to let me come over and eat with them on their guest passes at the dining center. The Thanksgiving Feast is outstanding!! It's my favorite meal at college every year.
