6 Students rated Kansas Wesleyan University
Kansas Wesleyan University is a college used to explore why you chose you want to attend college. Majority of students that attend this college usually don't end up graduating from here. That's because of the requirements this college has, being a liberal arts school, you have to take a certain amount of classes for that as well.
I believe Kansas Wesleyan has a beautiful campus, along with a very helpful and supporting staff. Everyone is very encouraging and the community on campus is very positive and up lifting. I couldn't have chosen a better university.
Kansas Wesleyan is in a large town--not quite a city, Salina, Kansas. The class sizes are small and you are able to ask the professors questions, in and out of class. Kansas Wesley offers study abroad courses, where you can travel to D.C., Key West, and Costa Rica. Almost every student is involved in a group of team, and the campus is interconnected.
I think it looks like a very nice college! I am excited to come visit and meet the faculty/staff. I feel like this is a good start for a freshman. I have not came to visit yet, so I don't know much but soon I will. I've heard great things about this college. I am a big basketball and football fan and I've great things about them as well.

College is a completely new experience. Luckily, I went to a very competitive high school that prepared me for what was to come. A lot of high school teachers warned us about the difficulties we would encounter in college; however, I did not completely understand until I started. First and foremost, I would tell my young self to establish an efficient and comfortable work ethic. In college there are several distractions and it easy to fall behind. It is very important that you find studying techniques that best suite you. Also, I would remind myself to not allow procrastination. It is very important to be proactive about your schoolwork and to get it done in a timely manner. In fact, is extremely important to be proactive about your education in general. I would encourage my young self to practice asking questions and developing relationships with high school teachers because that will work to your advantage in college. College challenges your independence because it is an education you choose to pursue; therefore, it your responsibility to make this experience fulfilling.
What I brag about most when I tell my friends about my school would be all of the things that are free. We are privelged enough to have free Wi-Fi internet connection, free printing, free cable, free laundry, free admission into non-conference sports activities, free parking, and free tutoring on campus.
This school allows you to be yourself. It gives you multiple oppertunities to do your own thing including research. Professors within your field gets to know you and help you as well.
I wish that I had known that attendance is currently down; meaning that it's harder to find good roommates.
SMALL COMMUNITY WHERE EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE AND CAN GET ALONG
The worst thing that I would consider about my school would be the food variety and often the quality. The cafeteria food is not always the greatest, but we do have an alternative cafe in the student activities center which is usually good, but often is not. I wish there were more opportunities to fix food independently and more options to choose from within the cafeteria. I also think there should be options for the meal plan as well instead of one distinct meal plan for everyone.
