I think that Kansas Wesleyan is a unique university that allows students to feel at home. We have a variety of sports, arts, and other extracurricular activities to be a part of. Students have a variety of ways to get to know other students and to be able to access their professors. I would recommend Kansas Wesleyan to any student looking for a home away from home.

I think it looks like a very nice college! I am excited to come visit and meet the faculty/staff. I feel like this is a good start for a freshman. I have not came to visit yet, so I don't know much but soon I will. I've heard great things about this college. I am a big basketball and football fan and I've great things about them as well.

I love it! My brother went there and had a great experience and now I am. I met most of my best friends in college and get a lot of support from my teammates. There are many opportunities to get involved that can depend on your major or what class your in or even what dorm your in. Kansas Wesleyan really encourages people to get out of their room and meet new people or try new things. And always uses the power of And.

Kansas Wesleyan is in a large town--not quite a city, Salina, Kansas. The class sizes are small and you are able to ask the professors questions, in and out of class. Kansas Wesley offers study abroad courses, where you can travel to D.C., Key West, and Costa Rica. Almost every student is involved in a group of team, and the campus is interconnected.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Kansas Wesleyan University is a college used to explore why you chose you want to attend college. Majority of students that attend this college usually don't end up graduating from here. That's because of the requirements this college has, being a liberal arts school, you have to take a certain amount of classes for that as well.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Kansas Wesleyan University is best known for its sport teams. Almost all the kids attending this institution play a sport including myself. The school is also known for their incredible class sizes being a 16:1 student teacher ratio.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I can go back in time and talk to myself I would have to tell myself to be more social. Being on the football team I was well known, but only known for what I can do on the field. Nobody has ever known me on a personal level other than my head coach or family members. With that being said I would have to tell myself to join more extracurricular activities such as clubs or doing volunteer work. This would make me more comfortable with people, and bring me out of the bubble I was trapped in. Joining a club my freshman year of college and playing football helped me out a tremendous amount. I find myself having more friends, being more social, and a lot happier. This is the only thing I would tell myself if I can go back in time.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I had known everyone is in the same position as I am. I came from a community college in California eveyone there was from California or even my high school. I was comfortable because I knew people there and I wasn't nervous. Now going out of state not knowing people had me fairly nervous, but this wasn't just me there is people from all over the United States they're all nervous as well. This is something I wish I knew when I first got here, it would be easier to meet new people.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Do not take a year off from school. Go to college right after you graduate early and apply for all kinds of scholarships early on. Save all your money from your job and plan accordingly for school. Make sure that you are fully prepared for your first semester in college and all the semesters following it. Do not let anything else distract you from your education because it is the most important thing right now for you to focus on. Also, participate in a few extra curricular activities to fill up your free time. Volunteer at the local animal shelter. Keep writing poetry. Keep a journal. Use a daily planner. Keep your skills fresh regarding the clarinet and the computer. Continue to improve your skills on training animals. Make sure that you have all of your college plans laid out well in advance. Do any extra jobs that you can do to get extra money for school. Purchase your books from third party websites that have them for cheaper (Chegg is excellent)! If you do order from Chegg, DO NOT LOSE YOUR RETURN BOX OR RETURN LABEL and return the books on time! Take good care of your Honda Accord!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to not take time off between high school and college and to not be discouraged by the poor guidance counselors and ignorant rules that my high school had, which did not allow me to graduate early. I would also tell myself to have fun and enjoy the experience and take a couple classes just because they sound interesting or different. I would also tell myself to remember that a college education is not free and to take the opportunity to learn as much as possible and connect with other students and faculty because all of this will help you make friends that will last a lifetime and help you to land your dream job in the future.

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is that the class sizes are small so you get to know your Professor's and they really want to help you learn and succeed. This also help you get to know your fellow classmates and make friends easily, especially with those who have the same major that you do.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Someone who just wants to get by and party all of the time or someone who hates smaller towns and colleges.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back in time, I would tell myself not to be afraid. In my mind, college was a terrifying place where I would be on my own to figure everything out. However, I would tell my past self that college is actually a place of acceptance and understanding. Teachers, faculty and other students have been there to help me through the process. I would tell myself that college is an institution that functions with the aim of helping each student to succeed. For that reason, there are many people who are hired to help the students reach their full potential. I would tell myself this with the confidence that it is true because I am now a tutor. I work for the sole reason of helping students when they are afraid as I once was.
