What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Hayley

Some frustrating things are: the dorms are older, I am in a dorm with three students, it is hard to study and concentrate; Parking a vehicle,; the parking area is a mile away from the dorm; classrooms are outdated.

Nicholas

Apathetic students.

At KSC, the most frustrating thing was the availability (or lack thereof) of on-campus housing. The school is in the process of changing to a University, so the number of students admitted grew considerably but not enough new dorms were built. Housing is determined by a random lottery number selection and was frustrating. Additionally on weekends, services such as the student center and the Dining Commons didn't open until late afternoon, which hindered individuals waking up early to get work done.

The most frustrating thing about Keene State College was the lack of diversity. I grew up in a pre dominatnly white middle class town with little to no exposure to different races, ethnicities, etc. Besides my newfound independence, I was very much looking foward to the new people I would meet in college. While Keene State was still an amazing experience, I feel as though I missed out an an opportunity to get to know people who were different from myself. Unfortunately, in today's society this is somsething many people take for granted.

The moment I saw Keene State College when I toured in the early fall of my senior year in high school I fell in love with it. Now that I have been here for a whole semester and returned for the spring 2010 semester, I fell even more in love with this school. The teachers are wonderful and always available if you need help, there is always something happening on campus that's fun and exciting to attend, and everyone around you seems like they are always in the best mood. I can't complain about anything here.

Michael

It's not a bad thing, but the anticipation kills me. I consider myself to be a patient person, but when it comes to education I am always excited to see what the next thing is to learn. I do not rush my work, but at the same time I simply can't wait to have a finished product in hand. Whether it be a proposal for a major design competition or that painstakingly detailed 15-page macro-economics paper, I love the feeling of completion because I know that from there, it's on to the next step.

Abe

The difficulty in communication. No one seems to read their email!

Carey

The most frustrating thing about Keene State would probably be running into rude people. I'd have to say it doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's a reminder of high school. Another frustrating thing would be when the Dinning Commons are over packed for dinner and it's difficult to find a table, but there has never been a time where my friends and I had to wait more than 5 minutes for one to open up.

Lauren

If you don't party, its hard to find make friends.

Lauren

financial aid

Megan

Dealing with the different personalities of music majors and people who can't handle the stress. There's too much "middle school" drama.
