I would tell myself to work hard and not let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Life seems a little hard when your in high school and all odds might seem to be against you but trust in the Lord and he will see you through. Study hard and be diligent and you will overcome all obstacles.

Dear high school me, You will go through a lot. Unlike most people, you will graduate after only your junior year of high school. You didn't get to apply to all of your favorite schools at the same time our friends did. You missed out on another year of high school forensics competitions. You will question whether or not you made the right decision. I'm here to tell you that you did. You don't know it yet, but that "unimpressive" community college that you never thought you would go to is actually a very good school. You never would had survived diving head-first into a large university, and for a number of reasons. The main one being homesickness. Your mom is your biggest supporter. Never take her for granted. In the end, it will be hard to convince yourself that you made the right decision. It will keep you awake at night for months. But once you realize, you'll sleep easy knowing that God is looking out for you. Your mom may be your biggest supporter on earth, but you know who blessed you with someone as great as her.

So far i have learned many things out of my college experience although i have not been in college that long. I have learned that procrastination is something that should be greatly avoided at all costs. Get every thing that needs to be done out the way befor you even think about going to have any fun yet. I have also learned that as a student in college, you have alot of freedom. But with this freedom comes great responsibility. The professors already have what they need and are going to get paid regardless. It is your responsibility as a young adult to take the initiative to get the help you need from them by asking questions and taking the necessary steps to succeed at what you are trying to accomplish. Take time out to study and set aside personal time to yourself to get your work done. It all pays off in the end and it relieves you of a big load on your mind so you can go out and have all the fun you want. Time management is key and should be greatly considered practiced when in college. Consider these things and the rest is easy!

If I could go back in time and give myself advise on college life, I would tell myself to not be afraid to go to a university. I was scared of life in the dorms of a campus and did not want to experience university life. I would also tell myself to have the patience to talk to all the different advisors available. I had to learn by trial and error for every semester. In life, we can learn from our mistakes, the mistakes of others and share those experiences with the next generation. If one doesn?t learn from the past it will be inevitable to repeat it. Even though I do not regret how I am getting my education, I am grateful that I am still able to finish my degree, and be able to support my future family.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself I would tell myself not to take a "year" off that turned into eighteen years and that college really isn't that hard, don't be afraid of it. Although it is different from high school in ways it is better because even you though you are shy it will be easier to meet people. Don't be afraid of the class load - take it easy the first semester and in the following semesters always take a class that you want to and one that you will love to do. And the last thing that I would say is make sure that you take as many classes in spanish because you will get paid more and it is rewarding if you are bilingual and can understand another culture.

I wouldn't change a thing because what I know now is what is going to help me in the future. The only thing that I wish was different is that the teachers from the high school that I graduated from where more helpful and I should have studied harder then. College for me is easier than high school was and I hope it gets a little harder, but high school was harder and most of the teachers just wanted to get rid of you.

The first thing I would tell myself is to apply to the community college and get all of the basic education classes out of the way. Check into everything that you need to know in order to transfer to finish getting the degree I want. It is never too early to map out a plan of how you'll be obtaining a degree. Picking a minor in case the major doesn't work out is also necessary. Never limit yourself to just one thing, options are always a great thing to have. As far as joining in on campus activities, don't be shy; having something that you can do in your spare time with other people who enjoy it can be a stress reliever. There is always help around if you are having trouble, don't be afraid to talk to a teacher, fellow student or even find a tutor. With out totally destorying the fabric of the timestream I would tell myself that it is going to be a new and exciting time. I would tell my young self that he (I) will meet a lot of great new friends and have fantastic new experiences. There will also be some major difficulties along the way, but the he will get through them and will learn a lot from them and grow more as an individual. Try not to be afraid of trying new things, but don't leap into the deep with out thinking. I would also slip in a few lotto numbers in the mix for emergencies.

If I could go back to high school and talk to myself I would start by telling myself how important education is. I waited untill I was 26 to start college and I feel that it would have a lot easier to do it when I was not a single mother with three children. I would tell myself all of the hardships that I have been through and put my children through that were unnecessary and could have been avoided if I had mapped out a carrer path and went right from high school. I would tell myself to be confident in all I do no matter what anyone says or does to try to bring me down. With strenght and faith in God all things are possible, so I would say to not be afraid or nervous just go for it!!! I would also wish myself prosperity and happiness. I would tell all high school students this also, not just myself.

I would tell myself, not to take anytime off, get started quick, i know form personal experience the longer you wait to do something the harder it is to go back. I am very thankful for being allowed the opportunity to go back and try to make a better life for me and my son.

I WOULD TELL MYSELF TO LOOK MORE INTO SCHOLARSHIPS AND COLLEGE GRANTS BECAUSE IT WOULD PROBALLY HELP OUT A LOT MORE.

College life is alot better than High School. As long as you stay dedicated to your schooling college is a breeze. The opportunity that college will give you will better your life in a mojor way as long as you stay committed and don't become distracted. The days aren't as long as High School and the teachers seem alot more layed back. Take the opportunity that you have at going to College and do your best.
