Kennesaw State University is mainly not a party school, the school is known for its academics and hard working students. In my department history, the upper level classes that I am taking now are geared more for students that have a interest in the past and are willing to work hard. The majority of the professors in my department are very interesting with a strong background in their field of study, and are very good about remembering their students names and are willing to give extra help to anyone that asks.

The academics are challenging, but still very attainable. It's not as rigorous as Georgia Tech, but it's about equal with the other universities in Georgia. The academics here are what you make them. If you put in work, you'll gain knowledge. If you try to befriend professors, you will. I am a psychology major, and I love the atmosphere of the whole department.

Classes are not too big or too small, which is nice because students can interact on a more personal level with the instructors. Some people I know don't study at all and continue to make good grades, while others are studying constantly and maintain B's, so it just depends on who the student is. My favorite class is my history class because it is in a large room where I can sit in my own space and have room to take notes. My major is Modern Languages & Cultures, but I'm not exactly sure what that entails...I do not spend time with professors outside of class, and I feel the school's academic requirements are exceptionally low.

The academics at KSU can vary. Because the general education classes can be quite large, some teachers may never remember your face or name. However, I will say that if you make an effort to speak in class and approach your professor, he or she will make a conscious effort to remember you. The majority of my classes have been pretty small, consisting of about 15-25 students. In these such classes, we establish great relationships with our professors. During my employment at the one of the department offices, many students were welcomed into professors' offices simply to chat, ask questions, or discuss new ideas. I can say that during my three years at KSU, I have made lasting relationships with both employees and staff of the campus. As far as students go, there is going to be a mix of academia. I have witnessed the pretty and the ugly: students that do not study or go to class (and are only attending college they were forced by their parents), there are students that will do the bare minimum to pass; then, there are the students that work hard for their grades. These students can be found having intellectual conversations. There are clubs and groups where one can meet others and discuss specific topics. One that I found extremely interesting was the Muslim Student Association, a group that works to inform others about the truths and stereotypes of their tradition.

KSU has a high level of academics. There is a wide variety of class sizes. I am majoring Theatre and Performance Studies and Dance with emphisis in Technical Design and minoring in Classical Studies. The TPSD major is very geared towards getting students jobs once they graduate.

The academic scene at school is one of the best that I have seen. Most professors know your name and are willing to help you anyway they can. My favorite class would have to be Police In America because this class dealt directly with what I want to do with my life after college. My professor was great as well and made the class fun. However, my least favorite class was World Literature because most of the information was from hundreds of years ago and the class just seemed to drag out. Most students study everyday, as do I to keep up with my classes. Also, outside of class the main things that students talk about are the things that they learned in class. Students are very competitive depending on their major or field of study. The most unique class that I have taken would have to be the KSU 1101 class because the information was very useful for future classes and the teacher was enthusiastic about teaching it. I am currently majoring in Criminal Justice. The department is rapidly growing and now we even have a Master's program available for Criminal Justice. If I run into problems I will visit professors during their office hours to address my questions. Our school sets high academic standards and I agree with them because in the real world employers want the best possible candidates. Furthermore, the education at Kennesaw state is geared more towards getting a job than towards learning things that students will forget after the test.

The academics at Kennesaw State University are challenging, but not overwhelming. If students are looking for an easy ride through college, they could probably find classes to suit at KSU. If the students want a challenge, they can also most definitely find that at KSU as well. I am pursuing a career in paleoanthropology, so my classes are fairly difficult. My professors are quite flexible, though, and they work with me if I am struggling. They also have offered to contact their associates at other universities to try to find opportunities for me that would help me with graduate school acceptance and my future career. The upper level major courses are my favorite classes because I am studying about my favorite things. I love learning, though, and I have found many of the general education courses surprisingly interesting. There are so many professors at KSU and so many classes offered that you are bound to find a class you will enjoy even if it a subject that you do not enjoy.

The professors here are pretty good, depending on who you choose. My favorite class was Trigonometry and I would say my least favorite was Chemistry. Students here study like any other student would study, the day before the test. Yet, Kennesaw offers numerous tutors and centers to help those willing to study days before the scheduled test date. In the first couple of weeks the attendance is high in classes, but after the first test, the attendance tends to drop. I am currently majoring in business management and I love my classes and my teachers so far. Whenever I have a problem with academics, all teachers have replied in a timely manner. The school's academic requirement is very reasonable and the education at this school is geared toward getting a job and also for learning at its own sake.

The academics are really good at this school. The school has a variety of great professors. And most of the time they are willing to help the students with their grade if the students work for it. I usually like to bring in my studyguide in for office hours and ask the professor things I do not know. By the second thrid test, th eteachers remember my name. The key is to actively participate. I am a Nursing major, and i am just about done with all my prerequisites. I will be taking my TEAS tests this May. However, There is a lack of BIology and Anatomy courses and Chemistry courses. I barely got into my current anatomy class. am going to apply into the nursing school for next Spring semester. The most unique class i have taken was my first Psychology class with Dr. Scott. She was an incredibly hard teacher but a really good one. I worked really hard for that class, I had to come in for two hour study sessions right after class in ordr to stay on top. The school requirements are pretty extensive as far as my major goes. I have to complete a lot of classes before even thing of applying into the Nursing school. This school is definetly geared toward getting a job.

The professors all learned my name and got to know me throughout the course of the semester and I have kept in touch with with most of them. They love what they teach and they enjoy their jobs.

I have liked every single professor I've taken here at Kennesaw. Some more than others..... and some have been really great. The professors I have had tended to care about you and how you did in the class.

There are small classes with around 25 students but there are also huge classes of 200. In smaller classes, professors are obviously much more personable in smaller classes. I personally think general ed courses are pretty easy if you just go to class.

The academics at Kennesaw State University are strong. I believe this is a challenging university that makes its students think.
