There are always new people to meet and new things to learn about other students. In every class I have attended, there is always a great mixture of different races and ethnicities, and everyone gets along great and is very accepting of the differences of one another. I feel that that is a great part of Kent State University, and certainly one of the most noteable differences from other schools.

A lot of people would start by saying the parties are great here, but i personally think the arts are big on this campus whether it's fashion, music, art, television, etc. When it comes to art, there are so many diverse categories to choose from.

Right now, I am attending the Stark Regional Campus of Kent State. My school is known as an excellent, affordable branch of Kent State. Kent State Stark allows you to obtain some Bachelor degrees here or you can finish here or continue your degree at the main Kent Campus. I am currently transitioning to the Kent Campus and I am applying for this scholarship for the Kent Campus. The Kent Campus is more of a financial burden than the Stark Campus and since I'm seeking a degree in Engineering I have to go to the Kent Campus.

Not exactly sure, but a lot of people that I talk to, bring up architecture and say that Kent State is a very good school. I also hear that Kent State is highly ranked for their fashion program. I believe this because the only kids that are in the Florence program are architects, fashion, and some communications majors at this point. The classes are very corridnated and really give the student a deep appriation for their majors and goals.

My school is best know for excelerated academics. It was rated as one of the top schools in Ohio. Just because it is a large campus does not mean that all classes are the same way. There is a very good student to teacher ratio. They offer small classes where both students and their professors become actively engaged. At the same time, there are large classes for those who prefer the lecture-based format of learning. The professors expect the best out of each student which provides a great amount of motivation for success.

Kent State University is best known for its excellent placement of college graduates in and occupation of their preffered field. KSU has a very prestigious Art program as well as a highly respected Education, Nursing, and Business program. Kent has a strong sense of school spirit which unites it's roughly 30,000 students as well as it's numerous alumni. It was all of these reasons that i chose to put my education in the capable hands of the diverse staff at Kent State University.

Tragically, Kent State is most known for the shooting deaths of four students by National Guard troops in 1970. Quietly, however, Kent has created itself as a top-notch communications facility with highly-acclaimed programs in Visual Communication, which I attend, and in Fashion Design and Merchandising, made even stronger with the fantastic Fashion Museum on campus. Kent is a truly international school, and I will minor in Japanese and hope to complete a second major in International Relations. In addition, research with liquid crystals have led to many developments in that technology.

The feeling of producing clothes that you made yourself is unbelieveable. Kent State has so many available activities including sports and greek life. The campus is amazing. Once you go to Kent, you will consider it your home.

Kent State is best know for its amazing Architecture program. We rate in the top ten schools in the United States for Architecture. The hole program is designed for the students to take a five year program insted of a seven year program like other schools that offer the same degree.
