I prefer a smaller school and this is exactly the type of environment that I was looking for. The people are extremely nice and the teachers are willing to help when they can! Even the janitors and workers there are always so friendly to me. I feel safe there as well. They put new protocols in like locking the door when class starts. I love Kent Salem very much!
I love being a student at Kent State University at Salem because I love the size of the school and I love being around every person that I know. Everything is nice there at the school, including the cleanliness and the food. It's nice to have space around to study that is quite.
Kent State at Salem is the perfect college for someone looking for small class sizes and professors who are readily available. Kent State at Salem provides resources and tutoring for students who are struggling. However, Kent State at Salem is not the school for athletically inclined students. There is no housing available on campus, but there is housing off-campus. Grocery stores, fast food, and limited shopping is just a short five minute drive away.
Overall, Kent State University At Salem is a good university & known to be a cheaper way to get a good education. The professors are nice and usually good at their job. Some aren’t the greatest but for the most part they do a good job. The only big criticism I have is the advisors are clueless & could mislead you or not tell you important details that you need to know. The food is just average unfortunately but the classes are small & computers are easily accessible which is the best part of it.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Kent State University at Salem is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would have studied a lot more in high school and taken more of the harder classes that way I would've been more prepared for the college life and work load. If it was possible I would've tried to do post secodary schooling also because that would have gotten me closer to my goals with school. I would have tired to be a little more outgoing so that I could get to know more people but all in all it is a great experience.
Kent State University at Salem is a very nice and well faciluated University. All of the students here are very friendly and it is a diverse campus. The professors are all very professional and are held in high regard and all the classroom they lectue in have access to differrent types of technology. The Universities website is easy to use and access to view your grades and current costs you may have. Overall Kent State University is a great campus and community to be apart of.
My classmates are outgoing and full of energy.
The size, location, and the quality of education along with the professionalism of the faculty and staff is what I consider to be the most unique quality of the Kent State University-Salem Campus. The Salem Campus of Kent State University consists of only one building settled amongst acres of farmland that sets within a mile or two just off of the outskirts of the beautiful Historical District of Salem, Ohio. What the Salem Branch may lack in size if compared with other schools surely counterbalances it with the dynamics of education and expertise of the faculty.
It is a close-knit and friendly campus. You do not feel overwhelmed when you first start attending.
Its best known for its medical program graduates, they are excellent people.
Before I came to this school I would have liked to know what my major was from the beginning. I ended up taking many classes that dont count toward my major because I wasnt sure what I wanted to do. I had gone to Career Events in high school and so forth but never found what I wanted to do until many semesters into college. Once I picked my major I was able to have an outline of my career path.
I feel the kind of person that should attened Kent State University should be a student that is willing to be committed to school, and enjoys working toward perfection.
If you are looking for social activities, needing much guidance, or studying classes that require lab time, this university is not for you. This is a regional campus and does not come equipped with many of the ammenities larger campuses have.
The one thing I don't agree with Kent State University is having a small majority of people for a career. It's lets a lot of the students down that really want to follow their dreams of either being a nurse, radiolgist, or many other careers, that have a maxium of people alllowed in.
Being highly involved in the STudent Government ogranization, I tend to revolve my bragging around it. I try to get more students involved. I am the president of that organization and have made the Dean's list two semesters in a row.
The most frustrating thing about my school is the small lobby and the lack of a cafeteria. The lobby is very small which causes difficulty sometimes having somewhere to sit during class breaks. Additionally, the school does serve pizza in the lobby from various pizza shops. Unfortunately some student have class during the times that pizza is being served; so they either miss a meal or have to leave campus to get something to eat. It would be very beneficial if the school were to add a cafeteria to ensure that every student would get a meal.
