The best thing about Kent State University-Salem Campus is the small class sizes and the professor's dedication to their student's success. The small class sizes allow students to learn in a more open environment, in which they are not nervous to ask for help or ask a question in front of the class. This allows the professors to work more one on one with the students based on their individual needs, allowing them to really get to know their students and care about each one's individual success in their career field of choice.
It is a close-knit and friendly campus. You do not feel overwhelmed when you first start attending.
The best thing about my school is the teachers. I believe they are the best thing about the school because the way that each teacher really cares about the student. At any point a student feels overwhelmed their professor is always available for individual consultation and assistance. Through this dedication the teachers help to make a more personal experiance for the student and really help guide them to success.
The best thing about Kent State University-Salem Branch is that it does hold true to its Mission Statement that "faculty and staff are engaged in teaching, research, creative expression..." The faculty members at the Kent-Salem Branch are respectfully dedicated towards their students and are willing to be of assistance in any way to ensure academic success.
I love that Kent Salem is close to home while still allowing for the college experience. The more affordable price for a comparable education was a big sell, as was the Honor's Program and small class sizes. The majority of the students here are from the same socioeconomic background, and I've made friends for life here.
