Kettering has been amazing. Very personalized and friendly. Teachers and staff are very helpful! Small class sizes are also nice. My counselor knows me personally because of the effort she has put in to help me with financial aid, classes and my co-op. I thought it would be intimidating my first year but they have all been so helpful!

I love that I have the opportunity to do Co-op study. I really enjoy the hands on learning. I like to learn new things and work with others that are willing to teach me new things. The Co-op I'm working at is very educational and fun to work with others

Noelle

Kettering University, though very academically rigorous, is still a place where students have fun and are very involved in the community and on campus in various clubs and activities. Many people will dog on the location because it is in Flint, but downtown Flint is a fun place to hang out with friends with lots of cool restaurants and coffee shops.

Nolan

I love the school. It is very hard and very stressful but so worth it.

  7. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

It's small. I graduated from a high school class of 17 people, so large Universities can be very intimidating. I prefer the smaller class sizes and the ability to work one on one with peers and professors much more easily. Likewise, compus resources are much more accessable at a smaller university. Similarly, we have a co-op program that allows me and my fellow students to go to school for 11 weeks, work for 11-12 weeks, go back to school for 11 weeks, and then work again. This 3 month rotaction allows for on-the-job experience.

  9. What's unique about your campus?

We have a co-op internship during while we go to school and that is honestly the best thing about this school. You get 2 years of experience during school that others won't and you will get a jump on them in jobs after you graduate.

  10. What kind of person should not attend this school?

Anyone who does not have the drive to succeed on their own or wants consant encouragment from someone else. Also stay away if you not open to trying new things. The schools mandatory co-op is worthless if your not going to step out of your comfort zone at least a little bit.

One of the things I mention when "bragging" about Kettering to my friends is the highly beneficial co-op education program there. It allows students to learn relevant hands-on type skills at an actual jobsite, earning money to cover their college expenses in the process. It is one of the most beneficial attributes of Kettering that distinguishes it from other institutions.
