Keystone College Top Questions

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The best thing about Keystone College is the size of the campus and how friendly everyone is. Keystone is not too big or too small however each year we are growing with students. On campus I spend most of my time in the living room of my dorm. All the girls that I live with like to hang out together, watch tv, talk, play the wii, and get our homework done. We have a great administration here as far as when you need help with anything, someone is always willing to help you out. One experience that I will never forget is the summer bridge program I did before my freshman year. It was a transition into college life that gave me a great opportunity to get accustomed to college life and to make some friends so when I came back for the beginning of my freshman year I knew people and where I was going on campus. I also got 8 college credits so I knew what to expect and had those under my belt. Students complain that there is nothing to do on campus but if you get involved in clubs and pay attention to what events student activites are providing you will find there is lots to do.

My opinion of this school is great. The campus is small, so it doesn't take a half an hour to get from one classroom to another. Also students know each other and are helpful when you need them. The school is very unique too because there are a lot of aspects that other schools don't have like hiking trails, a creek, Victorian style houses used as residence halls and offices, and a rich history based on helping the community. I really love Keystone and what it has to offer. The only thing I wish was different was the surronding town. I wished there were more stores and restaraunts nearby. There are a few in walking distance that are fun, but if we want a change we normally drive the short distance into Clarks Summit or Dickson City.

Keystone College is the college for me. It is a warm and welcoming place with a diverse group of faculty and students. The best part about Keystone is it personal atmosphere that allows me to make the most of my college experience. Keystone has small class sizes and this allows me to get a lot out of my classes. The teachers are very connected with the sutdents and are always there to help you. When i choose Keystone as my college, i was very happy to know how involved the teachers were in the students goals and aspirations . The moment i came to Keystone i was offered a workstudy position in a field i loved. The one thing that surprised me about Keystone was how involved you can get with on campus activities and community events. I have made amazing friends through all the activites i am involved in. One complaint that students have, and probably the only complaint, is that the campus is in a very rural area. It can be difficult to go to places like a mall or resturants, but with the Keystone shuttle, students can go to these places and its free!

We're a small, rural school, but I love it. We're not in a city, there's not thousands of things to do, but if you like the outdoors and are creative, you'll never be bored here. It's not for some people, but I wouldn't have it any other way

From day one, I fell in love with Keystone. Coming out of high school I was the type of kid who kept to himself and really didn't get involved. Keystone opened my eyes to new things and I give credit to the admissions office for showing me these opportunities. I currently work in the admissions office and I love it. When I started working, I was afraid to speak publicly, but I have conquered my fear and I have become a social butterfly. I am also a part of Resident Life and they have taugh me new leadership skills. I am a RA for our first year experience building and I love it. It is challenging, but I love being put to the challenge. The college itself is a friendly environment. The proffesors and staff are very friendly and they are here to make sure we succeed in life. My biggest pet peeve is when students sya there is nothing to do here, when there is always something to do whether it be on campus or off campus.

My overall opinion of Keystone College is that it's a good college (not great, but good). There are things that could be improve, but things that I could live without. If I had to go through the process of choosing a college over again, Keystone College would be up on my list again. The atmosphere and the people here are the reasons why Keystone College is such a good college. Everyone is just so friendly (I think).

Kelsey

My opinion overall of Keystone College is that I enjoyed coming from a small high school to a small College. It helped me transition from always living at home to living on campus. Getting to know a lot of new people and always having someone there for you.

To me the best thing about Keystone is the hands on experience I have gained in the science program. I feel like all of the classes I am taking are group steps towards my future career. For me the school is just right. I need individual attention and I can honestly say I get that here.

Jason

Keystone college is everything I thought it would be. They have small class sizes and the professors get to know you on a personal level.

My overall opinion on Keystone is 99.9{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} all postive. Before coming to campus, I was very shy throughout high school, had a select amount of friends and did not get involved much with the offered activities. Surprisingly, this was not my personality - I was the complete opposite outside of school. I wanted to carry that with me to college. Being an upcoming freshmen at college, I surely was nervous like many. But the feeling of a second family sunk in very fast. starting on move-in day. I quicky adapted to "college life" and fellow students along with the administration was all apart making this smooth transition a success. A huge factor in why I decided to come to Keystone are the small class sizes. Having small class sizes truly are beneficial. The ability to ask questions, getting to know your professor and always having the ability to study and get one-on-one tuturing with your professor. It is great knowing everyone on campus and always having someone to talk to. It is a family away from hom.

My overall opinion on Keystone is that I love it. The class size is small and so is the campus. Because the campus and classes are so small everybody knows you but they are not in your business like some people would think. Also the professors know your name by the second class because our student to faculty ratio is 10:1.

I love Keystone, truly. It's small. People get to know you and want to get to know you. You make personal relationships with peers, professors, and other staff. It's awesome.
