Knox College is really well-known for being a liberal arts school, but also offering a wide array of scientific and mathematic programs at the same time. It's known for being a diverse, open-minded, welcoming campus with a strong community feel.

Knox College is best known for providing students with an academic environment that allows them the "freedom to flourish." The school also provides students with a sense of community that helps foster inquiry, independence, personal responsibility, and critical thinking.

Lincoln-Douglas Debates

I believe my school is best known for its English/Writing courses. Many students come here to major/minor in Creative Writing. This is not to say, however, that Knox is only devoted to English/Writing courses. There is a variety of other fields that a student may major in including history, computer science, language, science, theatre, and mathematics. Knox even has a self-design major in which students create a major that is not offered in the registered couses of study.

Knox is best known for its strong academics.

My school is best known for it's academics. 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of medical school applicants were accepted last year and a high percentage were accepted into other graduate school programs. The professors are amazing and my academic advisor was wonderful. She guided me every step of the way for entrance into medical school.

Preparing students for professional careers and supposedly allowing them to make a good amount of money after they graduate. I've heard it called "the Harvard of the midwest"

Knox College is mostly recognized for the Lincoln-Douglas debates. We take a lot of pride in this history and hold a variety of Lincoln themed events. From this past, we also get attention from a lot of famous speakers, including Senator Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, and Stephen Colbert.

It is a liberal arts school, and therefore it is best known for its OK arts program. An absolutely terrible place to for science/health majors
