Our motto is "Freedom to Flourish" meaning we have the freedom to achieve what we dream. I can dance and sing without majoring or minoring in either field of study and doing so has helped me grow as a student and a person. Going to Knox has allowed me to grow up and learn how to schedule and balence my own life in a way that is conducive to life in the work world. I can find time to pursue my passions without losing sight of the important things like work and school.

The education is the best thing about Knox. It is worthwhile and hard to finish, but the end result usually is a job in the field, or on the way to the field the student wishes to enter. The education is well-known and takes more work than other universities in the area, but that is the price to pay for eventual success.

Knox College encourages it's students to question at every turn, teaching them not what to think, but how to think. This tool proved to be invaluable when I entered the work force, and has been the strongest asset I have relied upon to further my career. The nurturing atmosphere cultivated by each professor, and the strong sense of community that follows you long after your diploma is in hand. Offering coninuing resources, support and advice. It is the very definition of a liberal arts college, providing an education that prepares you not simply for graduation, but for life.

The school size is so that I have had the oppurtunity to have very personal relationships with just about every faculty member that I have had here. In my major field I am friends with all of my professors, and I have been to several of their houses for dinner, something I don't think a lot of people can say about their college experience. I am on a first-name basis with just about every faculty member that I have had a class with.

The professors and staff are the best thing about Knox. They are always willing to help with students with problems inside and outside of classes and they are easily accessible. Most of them go by their first names and the general relationship between students and professors is very laid back.
