Kutztown University has the largest GLBTQ center in the North East.
Kutztown University is a unique school compared to the other schools I considered. This university is in a more rural area and has about 10,000 students. Also, Kutztown has the double major option which is the best. The community is has a local sense of food, coffee, and is a nice place for college students. Plus, my university has serveral coffee and espresso bars. In the community sells local, farm products which are healthly and on a inexpensive way of paying for local items at a grocery store.
Kutztown seems like it is a very close family-like environment and that's exactly what I was looking for in a school. My high school was very small and even though Kutztown is not small by any means, it makes you feel like a person and part of the family instead of just a number. Also, all the different ways you can get involved in school/ community projects. They have more to offer than other schools I've looked at.
This school is more focused on my major that I want to do and they have a great community that comes together to help us support our sports. Also, we help out in the community when we can so they can see that we do care about the community where our school is located
Kutztown is in a nice remote area, where just outside the main campus, which is right next to downtown, you have the opportunity to have peace at mind after a vigerous day of classes. If that is not your cup of tea when it comes to unwinding, you also have the choice of socializing downtown in a homey, small city-like area. In a nutshell it really has something to offer everyone who steps foot on its overall campus.
I love the campus, they always keep it so clean and beautifuk!
This school is close to home so I am able to commute reducing my cost of college. This college is also one of the best teacher education schools in Pennsylvania. I have also found that this college has a nice mix of education, sports, and other on campus activites.
Kutztown's uniqueness showed that they cared about a student's interest in their major of concentration . There are varieties of majors to choose from of anyone's curiosity. The professors are specialized experts in their field and will guide students in understanding the work and studies more efficiently.
It's very diverse; there are many different cultures in such a small area.
I like this school simply because it gives me oppurtunity to make something of myself in life. I feel that whatever I do here in college will determine what happens the rest of my life.
What is unique about my college is that is located in a very small town. Most people would hate it, but I personally love it. Since it is a small town, but a relatively decent sized school, it creates a great amount of school spirit, which makes the overall atmosphere of the school an enjoyable one. Nobody wants to attend a school where no one cares about the college or the people enrolled in it. I feel like Kutztown University is filled with diverse students who all seem to get along and all have one common interest: their school pride.
Its up and coming campus, its English department, and the cost.
my university is very unique because unlike other places i've seen, everyone is extremely friendly. The academics are up to par with my standards and although not easy, they are challenging which i really enjoy because it helps me to work hard for what i want.
Close to home, yet far enough away; very advanced for a "small" university.
There is a unity among the diversity. It's small enough that people know eachother from many different majors and they interact a lot.
When I visted this school to determine whether or not I wanted to attend, I was given welcoming gestures from tons of current students and felt accepted befofe I even attended.
it is in a rural setting.
The location is surburban but within distance of several large cities.
THIS SCHOOL is a real test. It brightens your eyes to the and helps you to be independant.
Nothing really i wish i wouldnt have gone here. The teachers are good but the people in the offices are pretty rediculous and will give you the run around.
great community and professors are awesome.
This school is cheaper than most schools, but has the same quality education. I can not think of anything that is unique about the school, but the school is very beautiful.
Small town, friends
Kutztown is a nice, rural town. It's a small school where the professors actually care about their students. One-on-One and hands-on experiences are common; undergraduate research and internships are encouraged. Lots of ways to get involved.
It's a small town, but very homey.
Kutztown University is a lot like other univerisities in the fact that your experience it what you make of it. Nothing stood out about Kutztown to me except for the fact that it was close to home. I found that almost of the state schools are relatively the same with things such as price, class size, race, religion, majors, and much more. Kutztown University is a generic school that has a lot of extra activities that make you feel as though you are not at school and have no imediate responsibility.
What makes KU unique verses other schools, is we have a sence of community that we are part of something together. I also know we are one of the biggest schools that produce amazing teachers. I also think that our university is beautiful, they keep the gardens and lawns beatiful verses other colleges and universitys that are just building. Some buildings that we have on campus, have a rich history behind them including Old Main. I think it is wonderful that KU does not tear them down, that they are just as important as the students that went here.
There are many different views and people at Kutztown. You can walk along campus and see people expressing themselves in a unique manner and get to know all sorts of opinions. Kutztown is also very focused on academics and it is very easy to find helpful information on careers. The classroom settings work well because mostly in major-orinated classes there are discussions and opinions rather than just large lecture halls.
It's big enough that you don't know every single person but small enough that your professors remember your name and you remember people from your classes that you had your first year.
What is unique about my school is that it is 1 out of 6 in the nation that offers a Visual Impairment major. It is also the only school in PA that offers this program.
One unique thing about Kutztown is the layout of campus. Main Street splits campus into two sides, keeping all academic buildings on one side of campus and all dormitories on the other side of campus. Also, Kutztown has paid extensive attention to the landscaping and renovation of buildings on campus, and it shows!
