Tell us about the sports scene on campus.

Shehtaz

Football season is the biggest sports-related draw on campus. So many people, current students and alumni, come to football games. The momentum kind of peters off as the school year goes on, although there's never a shortage of sports events going on at any given time. Between varsity, club, and intramural games, students can go to about half a dozen different things in any week. Most students have at least one friend who's a dedicated athlete, and they will tell you how intensely the school's athletes commit to their sport.

I play basketball here, so I may be a little biased, but the sports scene is good at Lafayette. Obviously, you can't compare it to a major school like Texas or Penn State, but for our level our athletic teams are competitive and usually draw good crowds. The Lafayette-Lehigh football game each year is something that is a must see even for people that go to other schools. Each school has to bring in extra bleachers because there are so many people that want to go to the game.
