Lake Erie College Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Jason

The most frustrating thing about my school is the location of the school. There is not much to do with the relative location of Lake Erie. You can drive into Cleveland and spend the day there but that is a thirty minute drive. It is not in a prime location where everyday the normal person can have a day full of events. With that being said, you must be an outgoing person and have the creativity to make the best out of a bad situation.

Rachel

the weather changes everyday no matter what season because of its location. classes are sometimes a joke and graduating on time can be a problem depending on certain majors.

Kristin

Some professors seem very unexperienced and do not seem like they should be teaching. Some are very unprofessional with determining grades.

Jenna

nothing.

Sara

Very few research opportunities, not academically rigorous, too much focus on athletics

Paige

The most frustrating thing about Lake Erie College is we are growing very fast because, we just turned division 2. So more applicants are being accepted and we do not have space. The college is in a middle of a town and theres a whole community around us. We can't just take over the house community members are living in and that is a problem. We don't even have enough space on campus to have any of our sport's fields so almost everything is located off campus about 10 minutes.

Rachel

They cancel classes that are needed by the students to graduate, some thimes at the last minute.

Danelle

There really isnt anything that I find frustrating.

Rachael

The most frustrating thing about my school is that I have to pay extra money for each credit hour over 18. It is not possible to major in both pre-nursing and spanish, and finish all my basic requirements. I wish there was a way that I could pay for these extra credit hours, so I don't have to take out another loan.

Tracy

Trying to fit in, because I Come from a different background it's kind of hard.

Kyle

The cost of tuition is extremely stressful and frustrating. The emphasis put on the Varsity Football and Basketball teams are outrageous throughout the year, when there are other sports on campus achieving the same type of accolades.

Cody

The most frustrating thing about my college is the parking. The school parking lot was basically ment for 800 students. Now my college is a division 2 college. So now there are about 1200 students that now attend. So finding a spot to park my car can be a bit frustrating at times.

James

The most frustrating thing about my school would have to be its distance from where I am currently Employed. Even though I have a apartment at school the commute back and forth to work makes it difficult.

Anna

The most frustrating thing about my school is due to the fact that we are growing in number (students), it seems the overall organization of the school is decreasing.

Jess

the internet is so slow

Nicole

It isn't challenging or engaging very often, and the intelligence level of the students is generally low.

Christine

Probably the environmental lack of concern. Our school use to have a recycling program, but no one seems to enforce it. I have talked to stuents who said they would recycle if given the opportunity, but there is nothing to support it. Also I feel that to much attention is given to the new football team. Most of them have full rides to go here and then leave after the first semester is over! Its hard because you become close friends with some of them and they just leave. They are also given priority over other teams.

Ashley

Some teachers are not really helpful and don't know much about the class and what they are supposed to teach and good at teaching it.

Rachel

The lack of parking spaces for commuter students. Almost all parking if for residence and staff, not for commuters.

Chelsey

The fact that some of the teachers for the general education classes do not know what they are talking about and are unprepared to teach the course, thus wasting my money and time.

Melissa

The most frustrating thing about our school is that it is so small that not many people outside the community know about it, and so you feel like you are from outer space when you try to explain it to others that don't know about the school
