Lake Michigan College was a great place to continue my education. The opportunities and experiences that are provided help make the time spent great. The dorms are apartment style, safe and affordable. the class sizes are small, which gives students the opportunity to interact with their professors better. Overall I loved the school. It is a a 2 year degree school but is connected with other universities so that students will have a chance to complete 4 year degree while on campus. Lake Michigan is a great school.
LMC is a great place where you can get your basic classes done if you want to transfer to an university or 4 year college. You can get a basic degree depending on what you want to study. The teachers and students here are nice. There are advisors you can talk to for figuring out what classes you need to transfer or get a degree.
This is a great College for someone looking to save some money. As for student life there are limited events and activities. The facility has what it needs, but lacks in some areas. If you want food expect outrageous prices just for the convenience for not having to drive. Limited major options, but overall decent facility, with decent professors.
My first year experience at Lake Michigan College was pretty great overall. The teachers are nice and they want students to succeed in their classes and they are always available for help. The staff at LMC are friendly and make you feel welcomed at the school. Its a great school to go to if you want to succeed and feel like there are people that care about your academic success.

Continue at the 2 year community college. Then transfer to a 4 year University. Study realy hard and be able to graduate in another 2 years. Be ready to take a job somewhere new and have the skills needed.
Lack of funding provided to the Machine tool program and pre Engineering curriculum.
A very good 2 year college, after going to a 4 year University and having friends take the same curriculum as I took at LMC , I was amazed at how great of equipment and teaching staff LMC has.
Lake Michigan College is best known for saving money while also getting a great edcucation. People talk about the small class sizes and how that helps you get the one on one attention from each and every teacher. There's not a single instrcutor who is just there because they need a place to teach. They are there because they care about or future and our success in the real world after college.
The type of people that should not attend my school are the people that don't care, and skip classes on a regular basis.
My classmates are great! Most of them are like me, a hard working student. I know I can work with them and ask questions. I can tell a handful of students don't really want to be in class though.
the best thing about my school is definitely the 3rd floor where all the science and medical related classes are. People are much more serious up there, the competition is strong, and it is fun and challenging. the teacher are good, and they care about the students and go the extra mile to push them towards their goals.
How hard it was actually going to be.
The most frustrating thing about Lake Michigan College is that it is very difficult to find a place to park when arriving for my classes.
The type of person that wants to live in the really good dorms and wants the free food on Tuesdays.
Lake Michigan College has small class sizes that make it easier to connect with the instructor as well as other class mates. This offers a chance to getr a more individualised education.
I tell them that the professors are pretty cool, and the people I've meet in my classes are awesome. I also tell them that the work isn't exhaustingly hard.
