What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Danielle

I have not learned anything about my college that I didn't already know before attending.

Korin

Cost, that's the big thing. Every school is different and the finicial help is different too. One school I wasn't having to take out a lot of loans. Now that I am at Lakeland I see myself taking out the most I can. Finicially, a education is better for my family, but it's not easy when you have little money to being with. I wish I knew how much help I would have been getting because it's hard to get out of debt when you go further in.

Jessica

I wish I had known more about the Honors Program here. I also wish I had known more about how conservative some students are.

Julianna

How to ask and ask and ask.....questions All the time if I don;t understand something or if I'm concerned about not doing well in a class...knowing that I can drop a class and retake it if I felt overwhelmed...

I wish I had known exactly what major I wanted and what career I had been hoping to pursue. I have changed my major three times now, and I am still not sure what I want to do when I graduate. However, even with changing my major so much, all of the professors have been very accomodating and I don't regret taking any of my previous classes. The only problem I have now is I have to squish all my classes in, 18 credits a semester, if I want to graduate on time.
