Lander University has both an excellent nursing program and business school. This success, however, comes at the cost of redistributing the budget away from other departments, such as humanities. If you wish to study liberal arts, English, theater, or journalis, this is not your school. But if your heart is set on a nursing degree or an educational boost for your business career, this is the school for you.
Any kind of person who takes higher learing serious. And one who wants smaller class sizes.
A person who isn't serious nor driven about school.
If you are the kind of person that likes to get in trouble (such as fighting, drinking/smoking on campus) or the kind of person that does not like to go to class, or just an unfriendly person, this school is not the place for you. This one of the few safest schools in the state, with cops on the clock; if you miss classes, it might be the worst thing because most of the professors are very strict on attendance and when it comes down to college students, almost everyone is very friendly.
The kind of person who shouldn't attend this school or any college or university is one who doesn't strive for greatness. If they wish not to put forth any effort in obtaining a degree there is no sense in attending.
The type of person who shouldn't attend Lander University would be someone who isn't technologically savvy, or someone who isn't aware of how big of factors the internet and computers play in school. Lander uses a web system called Blackboard, which allows students to give teachers their completed assignments through a system outside of email. Blackboard also helps cut down on the waste of paper, because almost everything for each class (course syllabi, assignment schedules, etc.) is online.
I can't say who should or shouldn't attend this school. However, people that I know that have attended and didn't like the school were people that didn't have getting an education on their mine. They came to party and since this is a small town they decided they didn't like it .
Some now willing to go out and get what they need.
