A person who isn't self-motivated, or people who just want to blend in with the crowd shouldn't attend Lawrence.
Someone who does not want to work hard to earn their grades. Lawrence is a tough school, but it is worth it if you are willing to work hard and feel rewarded when you finish papers and assignments. Also, if you do not like small schools you would not like Lawrence. We have around 1300 students on this campus so it is very small.
This school definitely is a small school in every way. We are a tight-knit community. Lawrence is smaller than my high school. If you don't like the idea of recognizing most people on campus, this wouldn't be a good school for you. Also, we have small classes, so you can't disappear in a crowded lecture hall. Because of our size you get a lot more attention from your professors and fellow students that you would at a large school.
Someone who wants to slack off and still do well. Anyone who thinks the deserve a good grade because they work hard. Working hard and doing good work are different things. No A for effort here.
Lethargic, stupid, intellectually inept
Students who are closed minded, overly competitive, elitist, or not willing to work hard should not attend Lawrence.
People who are not motivated to learn, aren't creative and liberal and who aren't interested in being a part of a tight-knit community.
Big Party-school people.
The kind of person who lives to party and isn't serious about his careers. A drunk. People who are financially strapped. The kind of person who did not take advanced classes in high school because they are probably unprepared
Any student who just wants to blend in. Also if you are a student who likes to skip class with out a teacher knowing th is is not the school for you. Also we have very small classes where discussion is very important, so if you don not like either do not come her. Finally, if you have no tolerance for other culture, ideas, or thoughts this is not the place for you.
Someone who likes watching big sports games on campus would be disappointed by the availability of sports games Additionally, someone who wanted to focus entirely on their subject without taking courses from a wide variety of disciplines would be frustrated by the liberal arts education offered.
