Lebanon Valley College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Olivia

Students are required to live on campus for all four years of school. This requires most students to live in dorms for two or three years. There are apartments and houses located on campus for students to reside in, however these cost more money to live in than dorms or living off campus. Along with this, LVC also requires each student to have a meal plan, which is also rather expensive. This is not ideal for students who live in the campus apartments which have a full kitchen available to them and therefore have no need for a meal plan.

Jeff

The worst thing about this school is that it's smaller size inhibits the ability for kinds of activities. It does not have a big gym or a large number of alumni. There is one place to eat and very few choices in housing options.

Stephanie

It's in a really small town, so there isn't much to do outside campus. Weekends can be a little boring.

Krystal

The cost. Financial aid is available, but the school is still expensive, and there are a lot of loans involved. If I wasn't sure of where I was going after college and that it includes a job which will allow me to pay off my loans, I would not be at LVC, but somewhere cheaper.

Brody

The worst thing about Lebanon Valley College is its size, and it should increase its student population.

Trinda

The tuition, while worth every cent, is incredibly high. With the economy today, even with a good amount of scholarships and loans, it can still be difficult to pay off the tuition bills at the end of every semester.

Emily

I feel the diversity of our school lacks. I come from an area where we are very diverse. My highschool was one of the most diverse in our state, so coming here and seeing people of the same ethnicity was quite depressing. If I could change one thing about our school, it would be to make it more diverse.

Gala

Shuttles buses don't run long enough after the typical hours.

Michelle

The worst thing about my college is the cost required to attend. Although some scholarships are available, ultimately the price is very high. Upon graduation, I will undoubtedly aquire a great amount of debt in addition to my degree.

Nathan

Occasionally it takes some time for Facilities Services to respond to a request for something to be fixed, but that is understandable, for they are in charge of doing so many things that it will take time for them to get through the list of requests.

Travis

There are no huge parties and the food on the weekends is really bad

Ashley

the price i can't afford it

Brittany

It's too expensive.

While I generally adore Lebanon Valley, I do feel that it can be a bit out-of-the-way sometimes. The school tries their very best to make things fun for students by planning lots of trips and getting entertainment acts to come to campus, but LVC really is in a small town in the middle of farm country. While the on-campus life is great most of the time, when you want to do something different, say go to a club in a city, it is at least a half-hour drive. Luckily, students are allowed to have cars.

Jeff

Food could be better.
