I attend Lee College as an Early College High Schoool student and it has honestly been an awesome institution to get my Associate's Degree. I would recommend it to those who want to get their certification in careers like nursing, welding, and pipefitting, but you can also go to get your pre-requisites.

It is a great school that brings many good opprtunities to its students. Being part of Lee College has given me a view of what it would be like like once I transfer to Texas State University. The teachers are very servicial, they will try and give their best to help students succeed in their academics which is what is desired.

It’s a great school with small classes sizes and for the most part has great professors. It’s easy to get around but it’s not in the best part of town. If you like the sound of trains, then Lee is the place for you because there’s always a train going by. The organizations are great and there are many programs that are very helpful.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    I would most definitely tell myself that trying is really not as bad as it sounds. It is not a drag to put effort into education and it is actually very rewarding to learn at such an advanced rate then realize you were able to conquer a challenge. I would tell myself to take the advice of those around me seriously, learn how to do scholarships, and do as many as i possibly can in the free time that i have rather than sleep. More importantly, i would tell myself to ignore those worries about always having to do the right thing or mold myself into some stereotypical vanguard for good. I would tell myself to carve my own path and go about reaching all my goals of helping others and becoming better in the way that i desire. To not worry about what the public eye may think of me, but for me to personally realize that i am helping and living doing it the way i truly desire. The last thing i would tell myself is "Don't worry. If you ever want something, you will find a way. That is the biggest strength of being human."

    My school is more of a second high school to me, it is close to home and because of how close it is I feel that I can learn better in my classes without distractions.

    Very cheap tution with a very strong staff that is always willing to help. Many hands-on programs for careers around the area.

    Someone that is just looking for an easy way out is shouldn't attend this college. A person that is not self driven to better themselves also shouldn't attend. Bacically if you have any of these attributes college in general isn't the place for you. There will be people there to help and push you but you have to meet them half way and do your part.

  13. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    The most frustrating thing about my school is that I still have to live at home. I did not go off to school like most kids that were my age because i did not have financial support from my parents, unlike most kids, and it set me back. I cannot complain about it though, going to a community college has saved me a lot of money and has given me the chance to save up money for the 2010-2011 year when I begin school at Sam Houston State University.

TUITION & AID

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
