Some of the sterotypes about students are that they are all rich white kids. It is also common place to say that they drink everynight and do amazing in classes the next day.

During orientation, freshman students were asked to list stereotypes of Lehigh students. Some kids answered that the girls all wear big designer sunglasses and Ugg boots. They wear NorthFace jackets and basically come from wealthy families. They value wearing brand name clothes. Also, Lehigh is known as a party school. The class of 2011 is 30% women / 70% men.

Wealthy, white, apathetic, conservative, conformist

Lehigh students are stereotyped as being from New Jersey, white, wealthy, and heavy drinkers. While we work hard, we party hard, too.

90% of lehigh is jewish, the other 10% asian. The girls are too smart to be good looking. Lehigh is little to no fun by the time you're a midyear freshman and forever after that too.

Lehigh students are all wealthy, Greeks discriminate against non-Greeks, everyone gets dressed up for class, etc.

The main stereotype is that lehigh students are all from jersey and are all very greek oriented

Mostly male campus. Lehigh students like drinking and partying a lot. Very White (not much diversity)

They are rich, white, upper-class kids who drink a lot and have a big greek system. They are also primarily business students or engineers. Not very politically conscious and are only into sports where drinking can be an integral part (ie. morning cocktails and tailgating football games.)

That most people are white, rich, from New Jersey, drive nice cars (think Audis, BMWs, & Mercedes), and want to join a greek house.

that we drink too much. while their are those that should prob take a class or too on alcohol and abusing it for the most part the student body is just trying to have a good time. another stereo type would be that the business school is easy, not so. many think students are stuck up or click-y. athletes are stupid.

Local residents seem to think we're all stuck up rich kids, and to be honest, some of us are. You can't go a week without reading something in the paper bashing the girls who wear Uggz, leggings, and bug-eye sunglasses. It's kind of annoying to be honest because Lehigh kids, although very competitive, are a pretty cool group of people to be around.

The stereotypical Lehigh student is preppy and athletic.

Most people who have heard of Lehigh think that its a school only for engineering. Also, some people are under the impression that Lehigh consists of rich, white, preppy students who only participate in drinking and greek life.

Many people believe that Lehigh is made up of entirely upper-middle class and upper class people; either white-AngloSaxon-protestants or Jewish people with very few minorities.

That is a huge party school and Lehigh students are extremely smart but are always partying and are extremely snobby rich kids.

Lehigh's stereotype is rich white kids that love to party. "Work hard play hard" is the motto most often heard.

A major stereotype about Lehigh is that its a party school with challenging academics. The moto work hard play hard is used, meaning a high amount of both. Lehigh students are known to lack diversity, being mostly white from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They're seen as a bunch of rich white kids.
