Lenoir-Rhyne University can be boring at times but that can be a plus. It will help you focus on your academics. The dorms are okay they could be better, the food is nasty like really nasty, and the party scene sucks. But the teachers are great, it's kind of like high school all over again.
Lenior-Rhyne as a beautiful campus but the maintenance could be better. The chapel is not regaularly used but is gorgeous. The sports teams are taken seriously and many of them are very good when playing against the sister schools. The surrounding area as a variety of excellent restaurants.
On campus housing isn't that bad, its actually than expected. Cafeteria food is mostly okay, some days the food is to die for though. Campus is very small which is good when you can nap up until 10 minutes to go to your class. Also, class sizes are very small which is better for me due to more interaction with the professor.
When I think of Lenoir-Rhyne University I think of home. I had so many expectations coming into this school year, and they have all been fulfilled. I feel very safe and I think that the academics, as well as the sports, provide wonderful education. The school is a small private school in Hickory, North Carolina and one of the best small universities around. They have many resources that are free to students such as a writing center, tutoring services in all departments, and a great international studies office along with many other resources. The professors are always available when you need them and you can get one on one time with a professor most any time so you can learn to your highest potential. I could not ask for a better school.

Get outside of your comfort zone!! It truly helps you to become stronger as a person, and to become more social which will, in turn, help you as you choose your career path. Pick a school with a lot of activities and clubs, it is great to get involved with people who believe in the things that you do!
My classmates are very close and are looking forward to staying together.
1) As a school of the Church (Lutheran) 2) As a school teaching Liberal Arts 3) As a close comunity
It's a small size and small classes. You get to know who's in your class and you see many people you know around campus. There's lots of activities to partake in and many clubs. It's a good college experience for someone who wants to get away from where they live.
A focused, driven, and outgoing individual would do great at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
One frustrating thing about the school is that there are some teachers that are over demanding for every little subject, and want us to do large number of assignments in a matter of short time. Another frustrating thing is having to take classes that are not core classes for their major. The current college that I am attending requires me to take a religion class, which I am really opposed to this idea. My suggestion to this situation is to have many different types of classes of religion to avoid future problems with any students and avoiding any lawsuits.
Choosing to go to Lenoir Rhyne is choosing to be part of a great big family.

One that is looking for a small, intimate school, with a strong academic background.
I brag the most about the close knit community. Clubs become almost like a family including sorority and fraterrnity houses.
My school is very small, not focused on alcohol or partying. My school is very goal oriented, advisors focusing every student to stay on the right track.
