The people, most definitely. Finding friends at L&C took a good day or so. After the initial meeting, the days of New Student Orientation were spent with those very people, getting to know them. Over the course of the first month of school, we have spent countless hours playing pool, watching shows, and studying at the library. Not to mention, the people at the school, and all over Portland are genuinely nice people. It's a fantastic environment, for anyone.
The campus is GORGEOUS, and I've had some pretty awesome professors. I love how open to weird Portland is, and school's fifteen minutes away from downtown. The only prejudice here is against barbies (plastic girls) and their ken-counterparts (bros), it seems.
The campus is absolutely gorgeous; it's foresty and looks like a fairy-tale land in some places.
the location: city and nature is key
Drugs are easily accessible
small clases, every one bieng freindly, ability to talk with proffesors about class often
Lewis & Clark is beautiful, challenging, and engaging. International Affairs, my department, is comparable to any Ivy League program in rigour and post-graduation job placement.
