Someone who loves and enjoys learning, and who is accepting of those around them. Students at Lewis & Clark are engaging individuals who are concerned about global issues and the society in which they live. Students are hardworking, motivated and are not afraid to challenge and question the world around them. They are talented, unique, and all have someting to offer.

The kind of person that should attend Lewis & Clark is bright, curious, open-minded, adventurous, thoughtful, and well-rounded. S/he should be a community-oriented individual who appreciates the wilderness, art and music, and the urban environment equally. This person should enjoy research and discussion, and should be ready to write. Most of all, this person should seek to maximize his/her college experience in every way. LC students live life to the fullest.

An open-minded person willing to explore many different academic areas. Lewis & Clark College encourages students to think outside the box and push the boundaries of their comfort zones. It helps to have no dedication to any particular area of study. There are so many people, both teachers and students, that really want you to succeed in whatever you choose; so although it is very academically and emotionally challenging, the support-system each students has access to makes it so much more achievable.

A student that is liberal and environmentally friendly. People at this school could be descibed as eccentric. There is no Greek system. Parties normally occur off campus on weekends and are normally themed. Week nights are not too eventful but weekends tend to have something going on.

People who consider themsevlves to be unique would attend this school. This school values diversity in the traditional senses of race, ethnicity, and sexuality; but it also values diversity of thought. At first glance, this may not seem to be the case considering Lewis and Clark's reputation for being on the liberal side of political issues. However, the diversity of thought becomes apparent in the amount and diversity of student-run groups and interests on campus. Ambition really shows in the students here.

Be okay with partying on the weekends or going to lots of music concerts and waking up in the morning to have long philosophical/ethical/moral/political/whatever conversations over brunch.

People who love to be involved in something and who are engaged with what is happening around them in the world. No matter what it is, Lewis & Clark if full of people who are involved in the community, in their extracurricular activities, and in issues they care deeply about. I can imagine someone with limited interest in getting involved being a little frustrated and left out at a school like this.

One that is non-judging and open to a variety of individuals. Has a love of of the arts or knows how to appreciate ones self expressiveness. They should be disciplined enough to always finish their school work but wants to be socializing.

Those who care very much about what they'll get out of college would do well here. There are great resources for pinning down your interests when you don't know what you want to major in, and as a liberal arts college, students can take a variety of classes without majoring in the subject.

free-thinkers, creative types, political compass doesn't matter although college is liberal-leaning, friendly, open to meeting different people, care about the environment at least minimally and enjoys the outdoors, comfortable with the presence of drugs and alcohol even if choosing not to participate themselves.

You will fit in if you are white, liberal, environmentalist, atheist, idealist, have already had extensive traveling experience, come from an upper middle class (or higher) background., plan to study abroad You really, really want to help people but are clueless because you have never been disadvantaged a day of your life. Most people are accepting of sexual minorities. most people are female, most people are smart and generally want to do well in school. Bonus points if you are pot-friendly.
