  3. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    In 1973, the year I graduated, college wasn't pushed like it is today. Most of the girls I graduated with were married within the first year. Some went on to college but very few. I would tell myself to go ahead and be what you want to be now before marriage and children become the priority in your life. Going to college will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself and if you think of waiting a year to go, you might as well forget it for a long while. It is "cool" to be smart and strive for a career. I wish you could see how many dead end jobs you will have in the next 35 years! You are a very smart girl! The transition will be very good for you. Your new friends will encourage you to reach for the stars instead of "getting high". So, do not delay. Run don't walk to college. You won't regret it and your children will thank-you for it!

  4. What's unique about your campus?

    I consider the best thing about my school is feeling comfortable returning to school at age 54. Administration made my transistion smooth and painless with encouragement all the way. Also, all of the students are very helpful and friendly. To sum it up, the people here are just great!
