Liberty University Top Questions

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

Randall

Stereotype? Well, if that is of a geeky Christian male or female, well, that stereotype is busted here. However, everyone is mostly on their best behavior. Liberty says you spend on average 15 hours a month in the classroom. They say it is the rest of the time that they are concerned for their students.

Crystal

That because it is a Christian school we do not offer the traditional college experience. This is not true. We also have a LOT of fun while learning!

Sarah

Most people believe that students have been homeschooled and stuck in a bubble their whole life. Some say they dont know what it's like in the real world. Yes, some have been homeschool, hovered by parents, and never experienced the party life. However, I hear testimonies a lot at school about how God transformed them and helped save them from drugs, alcohol, sex and other addictions. I believe that no matter how you grew up, you face challenges that only God can save you from.

Rachael

Goody-two-shoes, Christian student, most likely. I would say the stereotype is accurate in its aspect of moral, Christ-centered leadership and activities. Many students are Christians. However, the students are not the stuffy, prideful characters that the stereotype implies.

That they're bible thumpers. And yes, it seems true.

kimberly

Christian based school.

I attend online classes so I have a limited exposure to the students at LU but as far as I know the stereotypical LU student is a christian who tries to set a good example. Of course every school has a partying crowd no matter where you go.
