Liberty University Top Questions

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Meagan

People looking for easy A's. People who aren't interested in God and Jesus. People who aren't willing to work for their education.

Brandy

Liberty University is the biggest christian university in the world. I would not recommend attending Liberty if a student does not like structure. Liberty has the Liberty way that outlines the rules to be followed by all staff, faculty and students. If one does not simply like structure and rules this is not the place for them. Structure does not hurt you it builds character, at least that is my view.

Melanie

The only people who shouldn't attend Liberty University are people who don't want to, it is a great school!

Chris

The kind of person that shouldn't attnd this school is anyone that is not dedicted to the thought of working hard and completeing a task or having their mind set on their future.

Alexandra

Conservative.

Richard

I believe this school is for everyone. The school is a christian university but it does not mean you need to be a christian to go to school here. If you are not a christian it is a good way to see what it means to love God and being a champion for Christ. If you are a christian it offers chances to grow further in Christ along with tools you need to be a champion for Christ.

Angelia

This school is recommended

Matthew

I do not believe that there is a particular type of person that should not attend this school, I think that this school has something to offer anyone who is willing to apply themselves and work hard.

Jean

Honestly, everyone should attend this school. I haven't met anyone while attending school that doesn't feel it is for them. Maybe if it is far from home and you want to travel a lot it may be expensive but that is no reason not to attend. Liberty offers several breaks throughout the semester many of which are longer than other Universities or Colleges. As stated above if you want to go to college and experience life more abundantly Liberty University is for you. But I will say it comes with a lot of rules, partying is not acceptable

Peter

People that are expecting college to be a crazy time of partying and drunkenness should not attend Liberty. The rules seem strict, but they are only strict if you want a partying lifestyle in college. If education is not your top priority then Liberty is not for you.

Emanuel

If you are a staunch atheist who would feel constricted by a Christian worldview, it would be wise to not attend Liberty University.

Justin

I feel that anyone who expects to go off to college and live completely free and independent probably would not be best suited for Liberty. If they feel that they can do whatever they want because they are away from home, they probably should not attend. Liberty has certain rules (such as curfew, dress code, etc...) that some might find hard to deal with.

Juliana

Thos e who look at college as a place to party or escape from parents.

Noelle

Liberty University prides itself on offering quality education and developing young men and women centered in Christ through knowledge and values. This school requires hard work, dedication, perseverance, motivation, determination, and a personal belief in either God, Buddha, or whichever religious deity suits an individual. A person who lacks these traits should not attend this school. You should not attend this school if you lack faith in yourself or believe that education is a waste of time and effort. Education is very important, now more than ever. To become secure, financially, education is a must.

Jonathan

A person that is concerned about a curfew. Liberty University has a twelve o'clock curfew. also those who are overly concerned about the campus being under a lot of construction. Liberty is growing fast

Sandra

People who hate Christians or hate the Bible or who hate truth and want to be indoctrinated into Secular Humanism. This school stands for something: Liberty and the Gospel. They don't teach ignorant economic theory, for instance.

Haley

People who are not willing to be open-minded should not attend this school because it is a Christian university that discusses religion heavily. For example, atheists that are not willing to hear anything about Christianity should not attend Liberty University because Christianity is the foundation of this school.

Danyiel

Theres not a certain person for this school. If youre willing to work hard and stay focus, this is the school for you. This is a religious school and it can be very life changing if youre willing to change. There are rules that need to be followed if you attend. The people are very friendly and the campus is in the middle, so an abundance of things are available.

Whitney

A person who wouldn't need to attend this school is someone who doesn't care to get involve in campus activities or who is not interested in the social aspect of being on campus. I would recommend taking the online route.

Seth

I would be highly against a person of little to no respect for authority or rules attending this school. Liberty University does not need rebels, anarchists, or troublemakers. We are a growing school with a growing reputation. One could say that the policies this school has in place are "controlling" or "strict," but they are apart of the universities vision: Training champions for Christ. Liberty University wants to deliver upright, honorable, and respectful adults into the working world. This goal has little place for those of low maturity and wisdom.

Kyle

A person who refuses to live with a few rules. There is a reasonable dress code, and rules that prohibit things like drinking.

Allison

I feel that Liberty is a school for anyone!

Kimberley

A person who is not motivated to learn. It seems like they really want to help you succeed in your classes, but it will take work on your part.

Hannah

If you are not interested in growing academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, then Liberty University is not for you. There are rules in place to keep us in check, but the rules are rules that make sense. L.U. does not make rules that are impossible to keep.

Lludloo

The student who has the ambition to be succesful in life even if they are not sure what they would like to do. Anyone who needs direction academically, occupationally or otherwise. The persons who are not sure of their relationship with God but would like to make a general discovery of the moral principles of living. The person who has deviated from a career goal earlier in life but chooses to get back on a career path and refocus on growing intellectually, morally and or spiritually. The person who chooses to change career for whatever reason. Liberty is the place .

Kaitlyn

Liberty is a Christian University. There are several people who come to this school without any religious views. Aperson who is closed minded and is not willing to hear others views should not come here. Religious classes are required, so a person who is going to be totally against christianity and not willing to hear about the gospel should not attend this university.

Michael

It is a Christian school, with many genuine Christian students and professors, who are compassionate and loving people. They truly reach out to everyone and anyone to make them feel welcome and to motivate them to change the world. Anyone can attend this school, Christian, Athiest, Agnostic, young, old, man, woman, and you will find a place at Liberty that will present their views to you in a none judgemental way. They teach you how to critically think, and build your views yourself.

Hannah

There are some people who do not like the amount of rules that are enforced at Liberty. Nevertheless, if a person is living a life that is glorifying to God, very few of these rules will be of conflict to them.

Daniel

Liberty University is an amazing college and would be a perfect fit for most. The one aspect of Liberty they may tend to turn a few people away is the size. There are 10,000+ students on campus and growing. I thought it might be overwhelming at first but you get used to the size quickly. The school is also a religious based so if you are not of a protestant background then this school is probably not the best pick.

Ebony

There really is not anyone who shouldn't attend Liberty University. If you are the type of person who does not like rules, a solid Christian environment, or fun then maybe Liberty University is not the right fit!

DEMETRIUS

Someone who is agnostic, Satanist, or who is an evolutionist.

Paul

The type of person that doesn't like a lot of rules limiting what you can do. This is a christian university that is very conservative in the way the rules are set up. There is a closed dorm policy along with no drinking, no drugs, and midnight curfew.

Faith

I don't think anyone shouldn't attend this school. This is the most AMAZING university. It's Christ centered and you're always surrounded by people who love the Lord with all of their heart. This school has changed my life. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to come here. It's absolutely amazing. I think everyone should at least check it out and not to judge it by it's cover.

Tiffany

A person who wants to go to school with the main focus not being academic, but rather to drink and smoke. Both are not permitted at this school.

Adryanna

I person that shouldn't attend this school is those that have a negative view or an opposing view than Christianity, because it is a Christian school and Bible classes are required.

Sarah

People who aren't willing to live by some rules should probably thing twice about coming to Liberty. The rules aren't bad but if you're someone who doesn't like to be told what they can and can not do probably should reconsicer their disition. Personally I like the rules here. They keep the environment of the school positive.

Alison

Someone no wanting a decent education.

Ronisha

You should not attend this school if you have a problem with the Bible or God.

Sarah

I wouldn't say there is any kind of person who shouldn't come to Liberty University. I will say, this is a school where the faculty and leadership are fully invested in helping the students learn and grow in their faith. Not all the students are Christian, but most are. So if you aren't a believer, I don't know why you WOULD want to come. =]
