Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

LIM is really career and goal oriented, grueling workload, alot like a tradeschool.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I wouldn't rule out going to community college for 2 years before investing in private school in order to better understand the students desired career path. Freshman year is a huge transitional period and students tend to loose it in the beginning and they should know that it will get better and the adjustment period will not last forever!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would advise students to carefully select the school they are going to attend. Not only will that school mold and shape your career and future, but it will be where you are going to spend the next four years of your life. Don't just consider the school's extra-curricular activities or sports, but consider how attending this school could help you later in life. You also want to check what academic, career, and support services they have, which I promise you will need. Just in case that school doesn't work out, check their policy on transferring credits and their core/required classes. Also, make sure the staff at the school is very timely in their response to you. See if you could possibly meet a few of the professors or stop by a class before you enroll. That would give you an idea of the classroom setting. Always remember to do well in all of your academic endeavors. To have just one point higher on your GPA, can really help you.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

LIM is slightly unorganized and the administrative staff takes too long to respond. It is also a hassle to get things done, such as scheduling courses.

Research every college you are interested in and do not rule any out. Pick a college that is best for not only your major but a college where you will meet life long friends. It is important to visit these colleges to see what the life style is like.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Visit the college first, make sure you like the location, and make sure you will get out of the college what you are looking to get out of it. LIM is about students looking to go into the fashion industry, and revolves fully around that concept. If a student is looking for a big school with sports and sororities, this would not be the best option.

What's unique about your campus?

Career Services. By the time we graduate, we will have already had three full internships in the fashion industry. Our school has amazing internship and job opportunities available to students.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Must be interested/looking to go into the fashion industry, someone who is looking to make good friends (majority of people commute), helpful in projects and classes if you are creative and artistic
