A person who should attend Lincoln University, should be someone who ready to challenge themselves academically and someone who wants to make themselves better. This person needs to be able to think outside the box and ask questions that some may not want to answer. A Lincoln student should be someone who wnts to leave a legacy of excellence and advance to something greater than themselves.
Someone who can survive the constant peer pressure of drugs and alcohol. This person should also be able to learn in a small classroom environment as well as living in the middle of nowhere.
A person who is confident, dilligent, and willing to learn.
Any person who is going to attend my school should be aware that it is an HBCU. Most people that would attend my school would be African American or a minority. A lot of alumni children attend my school as well.
After my first semester as a freshman at Lincoln University, I have seen many different types of people. Lincoln is a historically black university and because of that people stereotype the type of people that attend. The kind of person I believe should attend Lincoln should be driven, courageous, spontaneous, outgoing and willing to fight against the negativity that people have for the school.
Anyone who is willing to learn.
This school is for people who want to find out more about themselves. Throughout my high school experience, I only encountered American and European History. Being that history is my major at Lincoln University, I was able to learn about other cultures, particularly of African culture. Furthermore, this school is for the type of student that wants to be exposed to African American culture, being that the school is 98% black. It is also located in a good rural setting, but not far from major cities so a student can concentrate on his work.
