Lone star collage is a perfect place to start learning and experience new things in the everyday life. The faculty staff here are very friendly towards everyone and help first time students when they are lost. It is also affordable to pay for classes and books on each semester but when transferring to a university it can get expensive but Lonestar helps reduce the cost which is helpful. Overall it is really a good place to start a career and to move forward towards a big step.

Lone Star College System is a very open and welcoming college, there are plenty of clubs to get involved in. The professors are for the most part extremely accessible when you need them and are very helpful to any questions and concerns a student may have.

It is a great, affordable school I would recommend. The classes are easy to access and there's advisors and educ 1300 to help along the way. The professors are great and most are very helpful and always offer it. There is always tutoring available for tough subjects and plenty of tutors.

It’s a goodnight college that helps students save money and get a good education. They have good resources for students to study or feel relaxed. However, they do struggle with their staff support. It’s a big wait time for anything and often when called up they make your meeting rushed.

I love and truly enjoyed the campus. It is very nature like and the people are friendly. Lone Star College care more about acadamics and pursuing a major than anything else.

I was new to the area and the Lone Star College System was where I wanted to enroll. It serves as a stepping stone for me to complete the classes I need to complete before I transfer to the University of Houston's Main Campus. The Lone Star College System already had a transfer program to the University of Houston so I can follow a track record of all the classes I need to take and make sure they are the course equivalent classes for my major, so I won't have to repeat any of the classes when I transfer.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

It's a good place to get started but not somewhere I'd recommend for anyone trying to pursue a full education, especially not for a fine arts related major. The campus is rather small and parking is a bit of a hassle, though it is a community college so I suppose that's normal.

This college is a great starter school where with many locations around the Houston Area. They have a variety of class times to meet everyone's busy schedule. I was able to complete my associates degree while working full time without any issues. Classes are very affordable.

As a community college, they serve their purpose. They're affordable and they get the job done. But the quality of the job done? Questionable. I don't feel they necessarily prepare students for the rigor of attending a 4 year university. However, they make a great stepping stone between high school and university. Many young adults who go straight to University end up having a difficult time and dropping out quickly. This is a good stepping stone between the 2 levels of work loads.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

When it comes to professors and their office hours, they are always there. There's also good help outside the classrooms like our MACLAB, which is where they help in math. Cafeteria is mall, and the food is a little pricy. There's no fights or anything dangerous happening on campus, so you'll feel safe. The library at North Harris is great and has several books and a workshop. Overall, I'm gad I go here.
