Lone Star college System is passionate about providing students the opportunity of a higher education at an affordable price. The highly qualified staff at Lonestar college are determined to provide students with an excellent college experience . The small class room sizes provide a engaging environment for students like myself. One of the best parts of lonestar college in my opinion is how accessible professors are outside of class. Outside of the regular office hours many professors allow students to contact them through their personal phone or email. Its amazing to see how helpful and committed the faculty is to their student body. However, one of the downsides of attending lonestar college would be the limited number of clubs and activities available to students. Outside of the handful of clubs and organizations geared towards science and engineers majors there isn't much to choose from. Overall, Lonestar college system has allowed me to improve academically and challenge myself in new ways.

Lone Star College System is a great place to go to complete general education/basic classes before transferring to a university. It offers some real world experience and helps you learn about college and interacting with other people. Most of the teachers or excellent but there have been some that I do not believe should be teaching at Lone Star. Overall, it is a great place to be and a good first step into the real world and learning!

I appreciate the services provided and the professors. Most are great, some aren't. The food is good. They have access to libraries and such. The faculty can be very helpful if need me. Some counselors are great. They help lead the way, you just have to be clear about what path you're taking.

Lone Star College System, more specifically Lone Star-Cyfair has been my college for the past 3 years and every year I am impressed on how the faculty wants to improve the college overall whether it's academically or communication with the students. I feel like my opinion and views are valued and taken seriously at this college and I am on my way to my Associates Degree thanks to Lone Star.

Lone Star is an delightful place to be in or out of class. All of the resources at Lone Star are nice and pristine. There's no difficulty accessing any of these resources. Everyone is friendly, including the professors and staff. The doors are always open for people to come in and say hello and ask questions whether it's to an adviser or to a professor. The professors often have an open mind and agree that no question is a dumb question. While outside of class, you can often catch students playing frisbee or lounging in hammocks between classes. Students are often open to sharing conversation, knowledge, food, and even their hammocks with you. Every student there is truly humbled and wanting to further their knowledge. Students are very helpful towards other students, whether it's giving directions or explaining different things around campus. The students are truly the backbone of this schooling system. Every where you look, you can see the students truly shaping the future through different assemblies they've set up and other ways that they've helped the community. Though it is merely a community college, there is a lot of drive and passion in the students that attend Lone Star. They are truly building a bigger, better, and brighter future.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The campus is very well coordinated. There is always someone available to help when it is needed. The students are very well to get along with and fun to meet. The class sizes are small therefore, the professors are free to help and encourage students to ask question to fulfill there academic achievements.

Lone Star College System is a great alternative school for those students wanting to finish a 2 year program, without breaking the bank. Lone star provides great flexible classes such as, in person, online, or hybrid. Bonus! They also provide night classes. The experience here is great, such a diverse environment and awesome student life experiences.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

For students who aren't really ready (financially) to jump straight into a university and want to save money by going to a community college first and finishing off basics there then I would definitely recommend lone star as one of the top choices for a cheaper way to start off a life of college.
