Long Beach City College Top Questions

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Joel

A bodily-kinesthetic learner, like myself. I am aware that there are not many ways you can get a college education for a degree like business or chemistry or anything that utilizes the mind for a bodily-kinesthetic learner which makes learning, for me at least, very difficult and often brings up the thought of going straight into hard labor to earn a living. If you have high goals like myself but are cursed with a different learning stye than that of how college is regularly taught, then this school, probably amongst others, is not for you and I.

i think a person who is not basically ready for the college life shouldn't go to college, even if it's LBCC.

Jessica

I believe someone who is not openminded or is unable to deal with the diverity of people that attend school should not attend LBCC, however , someone who does have these issues should attend LBCC inorder to conqure them.

Antoinette

i honestly think that a person shouldn't attend this school if thay don't want to take their education to a higher level. Attending college is one of the easiest things to do but not if someone is just going to sit back and just fail the class. It would be a waste of their own time and money. Their spot can be given to a hard working student who wants to succeed in college.

Ryan

This school is a great school and the only person that shouldn?t attend is someone who can afford to go directly to a four year university.

Bernice

I don?t necessarily think that nobody can attend this school. However, if you are the type that is unable to manage your schedule efficiently you may have problems meeting the school?s deadlines. Also if you plan to take their online classes you have to be disciplined enough to do the work on time. It?s pretty obvious that in order to become successful at LBCC you need to be self-disciplined and have great time-management skills.

Natalie

I would not recommend this school to someone who is looking to coast through a couple of community college classes. The school is crowded and full of people who are trying to take advantage of a cheaper education.

Attending Long Beach City College would be difficult for a student who doesn't have a lot of time or patience. If in a hurry to obtain a degree, or trade I recommend a trade school, classes at LBCC run 16 weeks, four to five hours long, students must want future results and not instant ones. Many of the teachers discuss matters other than subject related issues, these discussions are at times personal/ idiosyncratic in nature and can go on and on; the courses are comprehensive and would frustrate those who just want the knowledge of their career or trade.
