If you are not a sports fan, then this may not be the campus for you!! It is all about the TIGERS here and it tends to be very lively during the season on campus.
LSU has a fantastic athletic program. There is Defiantley school pride and spirit that roams around our campus. Many students attend all of each sport LSU provides. The sporting events are so much fun to watch. People chanting, screaming, and laughing the whole time. People come together through sporting events. We also have amazing cheer team and dance team. And who can forget our band? Our band takes the stage when we perform. Sporting events are definitely a time of fun entertainment.
Huge! LSU is very sports-oriented especially with football. In the past ten years, we've won National Championships in 2003, 2007, and we're hoping for a win this year!! LSU fans are known for their whole-hearted support of LSU sports teams (sometimes seen as excessive) but no place on Earth is louder than Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night!
Sports are a life style here. It's apparent on Game day, whether it's home or away. It's also at the UREC. There's lot of casual, intramural, and club sports available.
