Louisiana State University-Shreveport is underrated. Many people speak negatively of small town or hometown universities, but truth is, LSUS is a great school. The campus is small, but the classes range in size. The Noel Library is beautiful and one of my favorite places to study. It consists of Greek Life, clubs, honor societies, and great opportunities to meet new people and make great friends. I have never been more comfortable in school than I am now.

Courtney

Louisiana State University-Shreveport is an amazing experience. Even though I reside in New Orleans, I am a virtual online student that feel as though I stay on the campus because my professors are extremely attentive and always available. I appreciate the flexibility of the program as being a full time employee because it allow me to still learn at my own pace. There is a huge variety of programs this school offer and the explanation is exceptional!

Donna Lou

LSUS is a great school to attend because it offers something for everyone. There are a wide variety of choices in academics for all interests and a lot of extracurricular activities to give you a healthy balance in school. You also receive a campus email about upcoming events like workshops, sports, and fun activities as well as important information.

MICHELLE

LSUS is the perfect school for a nontraditional student or students wanting to stay close to home. It's not the normal campus atmosphere as commonly seen in movies, but it is a great atmosphere for the promotion of learning.

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Louisiana State University-Shreveport is 88%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back and talk to myself as a senior in high school, I would tell myself to never forget your family. They are the ones that supported you while you were growing up. Just because you are eightteen or nineteen years old now and you think you do not have tp answer to anybody, does not mean you can turn on your family. They love you and still want to see you. Besides that, they will be the ones there when no one else is. I would also tell myself to never ever live with your best friend. It may seem like a good idea to live with someone you know, but in the end you may come to hate each other. Last I would tell myself to have fun, but not too much fun. Too much fun can ruin your life. In college you will be faced with some decisions that can ruin your reputation and make you live with regrets for the rest of your life. Nobody wants that. And always remember to keep God first.
