Louisiana State University-Shreveport is underrated. Many people speak negatively of small town or hometown universities, but truth is, LSUS is a great school. The campus is small, but the classes range in size. The Noel Library is beautiful and one of my favorite places to study. It consists of Greek Life, clubs, honor societies, and great opportunities to meet new people and make great friends. I have never been more comfortable in school than I am now.
Louisiana State University-Shreveport is an amazing experience. Even though I reside in New Orleans, I am a virtual online student that feel as though I stay on the campus because my professors are extremely attentive and always available. I appreciate the flexibility of the program as being a full time employee because it allow me to still learn at my own pace. There is a huge variety of programs this school offer and the explanation is exceptional!

If I could go back and talk to myself as a senior in high school, I would tell myself to never forget your family. They are the ones that supported you while you were growing up. Just because you are eightteen or nineteen years old now and you think you do not have tp answer to anybody, does not mean you can turn on your family. They love you and still want to see you. Besides that, they will be the ones there when no one else is. I would also tell myself to never ever live with your best friend. It may seem like a good idea to live with someone you know, but in the end you may come to hate each other. Last I would tell myself to have fun, but not too much fun. Too much fun can ruin your life. In college you will be faced with some decisions that can ruin your reputation and make you live with regrets for the rest of your life. Nobody wants that. And always remember to keep God first.
Most of my classmates are involved in class, but most are older than the normal age of college students.
It is small, but not too small. Always places to study or relax without being overcrowded. It meets the needs of college students academically, but it is nothing too extravagant. The campus is small and easy to get around. Parking is easier than a lot of other colleges. It is not that expensive, but also not very conveinently located. No dorms.
It's not the prettiest campus I've ever been to in my life, but it gets the job done well.
the art department is small
The health and physical training building.
School is best known for getting them ready for their careers
I wish I had been given better information about obtaining a student id and where the different buildings are located.
They're really important to my school they focus on academics a lot more then sports, and most of the teachers have the highest degrees possible in their field
Probably Magic the Gathering, its a card game and really popular witheveryone
its really nice, pretty, quiet, not too many parties, the students are serious and im happy to be here
Someone who is not going to college for a social life, is academically focused, has a job or someway to pay rent because there are no dorms or buses/transportation. They should be prepared to not have a very convenient schedule of classes. It is not easy to work and go to this collge. Someone who is a leader and involved will excel and stand out here. An innovative, hands on, academically, socially confident student. Students with disabilities tend to do well, and are well attended to as well.
