The beautiful campus and scenery are just additional pros of this school! With our smaller campus size, it is very easy to get to know other students. Professors are very supportive of our academic lives as well as our personal pursuits. Often students can be seen encouraging and educating their peers on important issues.
Luther was my first choice of college. Everything I\'ve done on campus has done nothing but exceeded my expectations. My professors are very understanding (especially during the Pandemic we live in now), and they always keep tabs on us. If I could come back and do my Master\'s degree here, I would without hesitation.
Luther is a small town college with an extremely friendly environment. Everyone is friendly and neighborly. The small town of Decorah loves Luther and Luther loves its little town. There are plenty of philanthropy projects to help out the small town.
Luther College is a simple college. The college is perfect for a getaway student who wants to establish self-independency. The school is located in Decorah, Iowa and this small town is full of surprises. The winters are extremely cold but the place is full of snow making it a winter wonderland. The spring days will make each day feel a bit brighter because the campus is beautiful and everyone walking around admires the nice weather. Luther College overall is a super nice school that provides a great academic education.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Luther College is 67%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
My senior year was a stressful, worrisome time for me. Not only did I worry about the colleges I was applying for, and the cost of which college to go to, but I was extremely worried about my grades and expectations of my teachers. If I were to go back in time, to my senior year of highschool, I would tell myself not to worry as much. Being in college now, I wish I hadn't stressed so much in highschool. Life was much easier then, the stress levels minute compared to that of my college now. If I were to go back in time to my highschool senior self, I would tell me to enjoy the time I had left of my highschool career because college would be a mountain compared to the molehill that highschool was.
Campus is huge for the size of the student population. The dorms are all very clean and nice looking. Liberal and eco-friendly!
Any person can attend my school. As a liberal arts establishment Luther College offers many academic programs, offering more than 60 majors, preprofessional, and certificate programs. The student body at Luther is small, about 2,500 students, but diverse in culture, values, and ethnicity. As a private college Luther also offers many opportunities for students of any type of financial background to help them obtain a Luther College education. With a somewhat small, but diverse, student body, a wide academic range, and the ability to provide financial aid for all walks of life Luther College opens their doors to anyone.
A person that is hard working, accepting, and eager to try new things and live a life with other people eager just like them.
Luther College is a little slice of heaven located in the beautiful bluffs of Decorah, Iowa. It challenges a student intellectually while also providing opportuinities to leare essential life and social skills.
The worst thing about my school is the lack of recognition Luther receives from the residents of Iowa. Perhaps understandably the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa seem to be the most well known schools in the state. Located in small town Decorah Luther College is not well known state wide. As a college that focuses stronlgy on academics Luther College strives for academic success and personal growth. I would like Luther College to receive more recognition throughout the state for its acadmemic history and prominence.
We have great science facilities and athletic facilities. I am recieving a high quality education. Luther Alumni are all over the world.
I wish I had known that college was more than just good grades and hard classes, and that it wasn't as impossible as it seemed. I wish I had known that I didn't need to be so scared and stressed out because there are so many people to help you there and all you need to do is take it one day at a time.

MOST are super friendly. Like to go out to the bars, but they still focus on their school work. Diverse interests. Mostly upper middle class. Most from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, or Illinois.
You can be involved in many activities
Professors are sometimes overzealous in assigning reading requirements. In essence there will be days where one seems bogged down with homework, and then suddenly have nothing to do.
