My overall opinion of LCCC is phenomenal! If you haven't gone there, you should. Sure it's not a big name college, but it is truly a wonderful college. The professors (that I've had) are great and the academics are wonderful. LCCC inspires me to be an A student
A great way to save money when earning your degree, or before attending a four-year college. The class sizes are small, the teachers are readily available for any help or questions you may have outside of class. The campus is small. The students are friendly, and there are plenty of campus clubs and organizations to get involved in.
I am thankful for the opportunity to receive a nursing degree from a community college. This is my second college degree so I welcome cheaper education. I am currently taking classes at a branch facility so the building does not offer much but there is a main campus available only 30 minutes away.
I really enjoy going to Luzerne County Community College. I have never really had a bad experiences. I have always felt welcome. I have never felt unsafe inside on of the centers. Most Professors have been very helpful. They have always found the best way for me to work at the pace I need.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Luzerne County Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell myself to listen to my parents. All the advice that I was given about not worrying about making friends and not trying too hard to create relationships with other people was true. Instead of putting all my focus on building life-long friendships during my first months away at school were not needed. The purpose of college is to study and gain knowledge that you will need in the future and all the extraordinary people that you meet along the way are just an added benefit. I would tell my high school self that absorbing the skills and knowledge that the instructors and proffessors will provide to me takes focus, effort and hard-work - friendships do not.
A determined individual who is either unsure of what they want out of their college career or who is in an uncomfortable financial situation but wishes to better themselves and their quality of life. Students at this school must be enthusiastic about their future and have or be learning the responsibilty that is needed in order to get the most out of the rewarding educational experience that is being provided to them.
Mirco-sized version of a 4 year school's campus.
The best thing about this community college is the personal attention that is provided to each student. Each professor truly cares about their students and their passion for teaching providing a quality education at an afforadable price is extremely prevalent and provides the student with the confidence they need.
Well i wish i would have cared a little more in highschool.
The classmates surrounding me are very hard-working, goal-setting, supportive, and they are prepared to provide assisstance to any new student.
Luzerne County Community College is best known for its diversity in majors as well as the diversity on campus with its students. It is great for students who wish to commute from home or who dislike large colleges. The teachers are extremely easy to work with and will take time to work one on one with you, if you feel as if you are falling behind. They care for you, as if you are one of their own. You do not become lost within a crowd which is why I love this school.
It is probably one of the largest community colleges in the country and its credits are accepted in mostly all the universities in the state.
Luzerne is a great school for just about anyone. It's a super place to start your education. The only type of person who should not attend LCCC is someone who has an elitist attutude;that is, someone who looks down on others. College is too expensive nowadays to turn away from the benefits of beginning school at a community college.
About my teachers. I love my teachers! They all are very helpful!
Since it's a state funded school that offers courses at less that $100 per credit, the budget can be tight, and doesn't always have the resources that larger, more expensive schools may have. The cafeteria is lacking in nutritional meals (and no meal plan), and the parking situation can be frustrating (since all of the students are commuters).
