When you are searching for the right college you have to take into consideration many factors. One of them is obviously how much it costs but you also have to look at the national recognition the school gets, class size, and the quality of the professors. But you also have to look at the size of the school and know what setting you will comfortable in. When you go on college visits, you have to look at the quality of the facilities, but also ask yourself "would I be comfortable living here?"
My classmates are all very positive, outgoing, and succesful students. They all have high standards for school and life and set goals to achieve. They are easy to talk to and enjoy the classroom as well.
The students' and alumni's involvement in THON, because it's a great cause that perfectly describes Penn Staters.
I would say that we are best known for being a very liberal Christian university. Compared to other Christian schools, Malone is much less strict. Also, unlike many schools, students are not required to be Christians to attend, which provides great opportunities to interact with those with opposing views as well as great disipleship opportunities.
My school is unique because it' feels like I'm in my own little world. Malone is right in the middle of a city, but the campus is pretty quiet, so you would never know you were in a city. It's also unique because it is a Christian school, so my faith is integrated in every class. The professors are also very helpful and I know they care about their students.
I would say there are a couple of things: the financial aid office is very unorganized, the theatre and concert halls are way to small and very unsuited for their purpose, and the president of Malone University Docter Gerry Strait is changing a lot of things on campus without asking the students opinions first.
Malone is a welcoming and friendly place where students of all races, ethnicities, gender, and spiritual affiliation can come to learn, make friends for life, and get a degree that will land them a good job.
How liberal the political science department is.
The friendships I developed being at Malone is definlty the one thing I will always brag about.
Any person will be welcomed into this campus. We all make a point of meeting everyone students and faculty included. No one is discriminated against and we all work together to accomplish goals. A girl in my class died about a month ago and since then we have all bonded together as one to help others in need. More and more of us are going out and doing service projects in her memory. We all came together as one through the death of an amazing person and friend.
Someone who wants to go to school to party all the time. Someone who has very strong liberal views unless they are willing to argue about their views with almost everyone on campus.
The most frustrating thing about Malone is the restrictiveness of the rules on campus. They tend to force their Christian values on everyone, regardless of their PERSONAL beliefs and values. They also tend to be somewhat superioristic concerning their beliefs and are often closed-minded when it comes to religous matters.
I have been out of school for 25 years. I just started at Malone in October of 2014. So far I have all A's. I have to apply myself and study hard. Learning online is a new challenge that I'm learning about. I hope to do well and plan on working hard to do so.
I think Malone university is a great school. I like the Christian values they embrace. I also like the kindness and willingness of the staff to meet our needs. They are easily accessible and very nonjudgmental. It's obvious the goal is the success of the students.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
